All new 2018 BMW X3

Good video review mate. this is the first I've seen anyone put this new X3 out unto rough terrain and boy did it look capable, even on 21"s. Really impressed with the car. Thanks for sharing your video.

I agree. Quick little intro to the vehicle, and then showing what it can do (including a few shots of actually using surround view for something other than parking, and real world use of the awd system). Cool to see so many together, and different trims too (saw all 3, which I've not seen together yet). Definitely a good video.

Not the most demanding off-road I have seen, but then it's a very civilised streetcar and I am really surprised and impressed by how good it is on the rough(er) stuff. It may well be worth a closer loom at my local dealer. Thanks for having fun and posting.

Thanks Nick, I agree, it's surprisingly good. This was on road tyres too. A well planned route but probably more taxing than most people would put it through normally

@@TarmacLife I had assumed that the tyres were off-roady ones! Cripes! I agree about what most will ever see. I know that most full-on 4WDs rarely go further off-road than a point-to-point horse race car park, which is a great shame. Mind you, it keeps them in much better condition for the second-hand market!

Thanks for watching and comments - yeah getting the background music is a constant struggle (volume and tunes). It's getting easier but in this case - focus on how well the X3 performs on low profile road tyres.

At 1 Minute and 30 Seconds into your video, there is a Key Fab that is sitting in the cup holder. Is this the Key Fab for this car? If so, does it perform Remote Power On? Thank you.

Well spotted, it's the new active key fob but this one just locks the car remotely and tell you oil, fuel etc. It pre-conditions the car but not the all singing self park one as in the 5 and 7 - thanks for watching

Mike Kay really good especially on the road. But even on this uneven terrain I wasn't thrown around. It sits too low to be a full offroader but still damn good
