Great review. I liked the car a lot. I don't care if my car has the best entertainment system or if my car has a moonroof or not. The most important thing is safety. RAV4 having all the safety features in the base model is a great strategy.

Rav4 LE AWD 2019.....came with alloy wheels ...in year 2020 toyota decided not to offer alloys anymore on LE.....XLE until 2021 came with fog lights...in 2022 toyota decided not to give Fog lights on XLE...this is Toyota ..always playing around removing out the good features which they previously gave it

Great choice and congrats. I did a lot of research for my sister in law and I fell in love with it. She is going to get it delivered tomorrow. She single mom, so I told her this was perfect because of all the safety features. But, it looks great and is a tremendous value for the buck. Can't go wrong w Toyota. Enjoy.

I bought a used one today. Love it so far. The only thing I don’t really like is when you are in cruise control the wheel tries to steer for you which doesn’t feel right. I’d rather just be able to set the speed on cruise

Thank you for this review! I went this past weekend for only a test drive for the RAV4 and ended up buying it! I’ve been wanting this vehicle for 2 years now and have saved up for a down payment, but I wasn’t quite sure how all the features worked, coming from a 2011 Nissan Altima. I think the 2 best vehicles on the market for bang for buck have to be the rav4 and honda civic. The base models are loaded with safety and good materials. Im still mind blown as to why automatic seats are not standard (i understand reliability) , it's like in the 90s having to roll the window down lol.

I agree. Power seats should be standard, although I get having a base model Camry and base RAV to save money as value cars....I like that it's at least optional in the XLE with the Convenience Package....jeff

Not everyone wants power seats!- Another pricy item that can break when manual seats are “faster” to adjust and just as good. Also, all these “unnecessary” features/ options have really risen the price of new cars too high! I wish there was a reliable, >= 180hp, new compact/SUV for ~$12K. No power features/ no fancy center screen/ no blind spot etc safety features, etc, just pay attention when driving! Why don’t anyone complain how pricy cars have become??

Nice review, I am looking to upgrade my car to SUV, and I am locked up between RAV4 LE and CRV EX. Can RAV4 LE have the Emtune+ infotainment instead of Emtune. Also since the RAV4 doesn't have the Andriod Auto, is there a possibility that once the Android supoort rolls out, the Emtune will be ugraded to support android once I purchase it?

vivek mishra Get the RAV4. The CRV uses a turbocharger. Not that it’s a bad thing, but turbos will start getting bad around 60k miles. The RAV4 is naturally aspirated and will last longer with general maintenance.

I like it except for the rear window which I noticed in the video they conveniently do not show the rear view from the driver's seat. I prefer the flat larger rear pane of glass that Subaru Foresters have.

Too late to say this but I just noticed that Toyota got rid of the hubcaps for the Canadian 2018 LE trims but in 2019 they have hubcaps in Canada too. I wasn’t expecting hubcaps after the previous gen Rav4 LE but those hubcaps don’t look that bad.

Flip key Remote has no Button to open the trunk...while in the car on driver seat No button or lever to pull to open the trunk....on Purpose Toyota Removed the Button on the flip key for trunk...Rav4 LE use to come with alloy wheels ...toyota stopped giving alloy wheels on LE.....XLE model was coming with Fog lights...but in 2022 toyota decided not to give fog lights anymore on XLE....

I’ve been thinking about get a 2019 rav4 standard, cheapest one I can afford... but is it worth the $28k total? Seems like it is but I’d be financing 6 yrs. at $440/month no down.
