Portland, OR. Love your reviews. Currently own a 2017 Ford Expedition XLT EL I bought new 18mos ago. Plus a 2008 Kia Rio we just got for a fun city car. Now..we test drove the Forester Limited, Rav4 Limited, and the Camry XLE (no Limited Avail). The Rav did not seem to have mush side leg room for a 6'1" guy. I really loved the quietness in the Camry, but feel a Rav4 will fit our outdoor lifestyle better when we don't need the space or power from the Expy. So far i'm a fan of the fully loaded Rav4.

Ashley Kowalski I’ve been looking to get this same trim and options. Have you noticed any quirks with it? When I test drove it I noticed the side mirrors vibrated a lot and were just kind of weird.

Lindsey Bertram I haven’t noticed the side mirrors vibrating. That’s very strange! I haven’t actually noticed any sound at all. It’s extremely quiet. It drives really smooth and the handling is great. It’s super easy to maneuver in tight spaces and narrow roads. I’ve only had it for 3 weeks so I don’t know all the quirks yet! The only thing I’ve noticed is that you have to get used to using the right force on the gas pedal to accelerate or else it will be very jerky. If you push down too hard because it’s a 4 cylinder it will jerk forwards as it can’t deliver on demand power but once it gets up and goes it can really move. You just have to be very sensitive on the gas pedal to avoid the jerking. Putting it in sport mode helps to eliminate this problem a bit but then you compromise on fuel economy. Don’t even bother putting it in eco for city driving... it is extremely slow to get going... so slow I thought something might be wrong but I realized I was in eco mode... lol.. Just a small gripe about the acceleration but it definitely doesn’t change my mind about buying one. It’s a great car and I’d recommend it. Just keep it out of eco mode!

Excellent comparison, thank you. I leased a 2019 RAV4 XLE for five days in California last week. Very nice. The Rav is very quiet and smooth when at cruising speeds. However, engine sounds/gear changes are very audible during city driving. Not sure why. Maybe the Limited trim is quieter? My friend in the passenger seat thought that the RAV was "jerky". Maybe my driving??

We ended up going with the LE because it was the only one that had the needed headroom in the passenger seat for someone 6' 3" tall. The reason why is the sunroof eliminates a little headroom. Would be nice to be able to get the mid grade trim level w/o the sunroof.

I live in NW Arkansas in the Boston Mountains or the Ozarks. We are a Subaru AWD and CVT household but looking outwardly to tother platforms. I will say all of our Subaru’s 2013 and newer have gotten to 150-200k on rough mountain roads and still running. As well in winter when nobody is driving even coming from town, the Subaru’s AWD gets us off the mountain and back up it. I can not say that about any other MFG AWD available to date. So we are looking for Subaru has had some growing pains, BUT the competition all talk a mean game but in real time conditions can not back it up. Maybe the 2019-2020 adventure model has broken that reality??? The adventure model has caught our eye but honestly we are not sold.

great video,but you're better off going on the toyota website and custom building your own rav 4,i just did this on the xle model and it came out to about 34 grand,there are so many options to choose from,it was a lot of fun actually and only took about 10 minutes or so,plus your custom built rav 4 can be delivered to the dealer in your area,i got mine fully loaded up with all the good stuff,heated seats,auto start feature,all weather liners,cross bar roof rails,and plenty of other stuff.

Limited or Premium. I haven’t bought a new car since 1982, but thinking about it this year. Thanks for going the options / packages. Most useless option is the moonroof. - in 10 years probably had it open 5 or 6 times in my Camry. Man, I can't wait to get myself into one of these soon! Initially, I was thinking of going new with a '21 XLE Premium, but after thinking about it for some time, I thought "Why go new, when used will do?" especially with being only a few years into this current generation. I must be striking gold, as I think I have found a few of which I can choose from that'll be fitting into my budget perfectly (and in any one of the colors I'm wanting), so once that day does come, boy it'll be amazing! Heck, don't ask me how, but I'm even seeing a handful of '21s that are already coming back to be resold as used, and they're still pretty much new as one that I've found only has a few hundred miles on it! And for a price just a few thousand more than one of the lower mile '19s I'm considering!

Without doing any research the Adventurer is my front runner. Heated seats and steering are nice options in the Maine winters. Maybe an XLE with a heated steering wheel would be a better option.

It's features are very similar to my 2013 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. I get 28 mpg vs this best city of 41 mpg. I have 19"wheels. Put on Perelli tires 1st thing. Sold original rubber on Craig's List. Nice ride. My Toyota is 6 years old & no issues. Mobil 1 every 10, 000 miles & rotate tires 5,000 miles. I don't care for the glue on the dash i-pad look. Hope that goes away in 2020. I always get a Toyota Limited or better. Will check it out this spring. My Toyota runs on EV for trips to local stores, which is Great. Gas cost only (no high maintenance), my Hybrid is very little $$ each month.

I like them I think Toyota screwed up and should still offer a V6 like the new Honda for towing.. Why do you need a backup alarm on the premium? When you have a backup camera? And CVT in hybrid is garbage to many problems with them and hybrids have a crappy trade in no one wants old technology and I believe they don’t have real leather it’s pleather

Miss Congeniality - I like the features of the Limited but the Chrome door handles and back are a little too much for me. I'd probably go with the XLE Premium with a few of those Limited upgrades. Will be waiting out for the Hybrid models! - From Houston!
