All New 2021 Explorer ST - Street Pack! Is this the best SUV for $66,000?

Got to take out one of our 2021 Explorer ST's out and I gotta say, I am quite impressed of its capability. It's exterior is pretty sporty and has a nice look to it once you get the street pack which gives you the upgraded 21 inch black wheels, performance brakes and red brake callipers.
For around $66,000 Canadian, it is pretty much the only sporty fun and fast SUV for around that price tag that is a 3 row. I know the imports do have some comparisons but their price tag is a lot higher. Dodge's Durango would be a close comparison to the Explorer ST in my opinion.

I bought this vehicle last night…in Infinite Blue. I’ve been eye balling these for months - supply is limited in my area…i knew when I saw this in the lot it was something that would better serve my purposes as a city SUV as well as a trailer tow for glamping. It has a lot of power and I look forward to “gentle” off roading out West.

The exhaust tips on the Explorer are turned down to aim the fumes down so the air flow under the vehicle pulls the exhaust away from the lift gate opening. The 11-19 Explorers were subject to a recall for carbon monoxide intrusion. Specifically the older PIUs had the straight cut exhaust tips removed and turndowns welded on in place for this reason. When the exhaust is turned down the gasses are less likely to be caught in the vortex that occurs and follows behind the vehicle as it moves down the road.

Great vid , I've read that the exhaust tips are pointed down so the fumes don't go into the back of the truck when the trunk is open . I don't mind it, but just wish they gave you a better sounding exhaust. I wish you could change the Blue display to another colour of MY choice.

Hellcat is $85k + , I was just at a Dodge dealer looking to upgrade my 2018 Durango GT to 2021 Durango RT with Tow and Go, we build and build a Ford ST, Ford Explorer ST is about $2500 cheaper. I'm really leaning towards Exporer ST, more power, drives just about the same and better gas mileage .

66k damn mine had a 58k window sticker which I rounded up being that it was 57 and change but anyways I didn’t even pay sticker price ssshheeeesh these have gone up in price

$66000 is the price of the loaded Audi Q7 or BMW X5. Why do you need a Ford for this price?!

Well $66,000 you’re mentioning isn’t Canadian. The starting price of an X5 is $80K CAD and the Q7 is $67K. This Explorer is pretty loaded at $66K which is good value in my eyes.

Because insurance, cost of maintenance for the vehicle alone for the Ford is waay cheaper than a bmw and Audi, and parts are cheaper

Repair costs of the German brands is absolutely insane and the Ford out performs them both.

@@jasperp8197 you don't need to pay for repairs during the warranty. Ford-5.3s 0-60 Audi 5.4s 0-60. Are these 0.1s really that important for you?

Just bought a ST... $53,830 was sticker.... knock $4,000 + $1,000 rebarpte off of that... got the street pak, twin moon, and Ford 360 package... also comes with leather, and has the horizontal screen, not the goofy looking verticle screen... missing some bells & whistles, but its got what i like... Did the Black on Black on Black color... looks dynomite.... You can have your German, italian, Japanese technology. Always had good with Ford or GM... no complaints here. And i even traded ..... got $6,000 more for my trade than i paid.. 2018 Wrangler Rubicon.... didnt have to bother selling it outright....
