The AVATR 12, an electric executive car, is the brainchild of Avatr Technology, a collaboration between Changan Automobile, CATL, a lithium-ion battery provider, and the tech giant, Huawei. This vehicle is the sophomore release under the Avatr brand, following its predecessor's success. With its sleek four-door coupe design complemented by a hatchback rear, the AVATR 12 boasts impressive dimensions, stretching 5,020 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and standing 1,460 mm tall. Its extended wheelbase of 3,030 mm ensures ample interior space.
Under the hood, the AVATR 12 is a beast. It's powered by dual electric motors, strategically placed on each axle. This setup delivers a whopping 578 hp combined with a torque of 700 Nm. Prospective buyers have the option to choose between two battery packs: a 90.4 kWh pack promising a range of 650 km and a more robust 116.8 kWh pack that can cover 700 km on a single charge.
For those eagerly awaiting its release, the AVATR 12 is set to hit the Chinese market in the latter half of 2023. With a starting price of RMB 399,000, which translates to approximately $62,000, it's competitively priced for the features it offers. Some of its standout features include a panoramic sunroof, a state-of-the-art touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and a premium Bose sound system. Additionally, it doesn't skimp on safety, offering advanced features like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warnings, and automatic emergency braking.
Delving deeper into the specifics, the AVATR 12 will be available in two distinct trim levels: the Premium and the Ultimate. The Premium trim is far from basic, offering 20-inch alloy wheels, a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster as standard. For those seeking a touch more luxury, the Ultimate trim provides additional features such as a panoramic sunroof, a top-tier Bose sound system, and a futuristic head-up display. Potential owners can also personalize their AVATR 12 with a range of color options, including classic shades of white, black, blue, red, and gray.
To top it all off, Avatr Technology ensures peace of mind for its customers by backing the AVATR 12 with a generous 5-year or 150,000-km warranty.
