What's expensive to you, may be affordable for others. This is a large, electric SUV. If $20k out the door for a new vehicle is affordable to you, those days are gone, long gone. People want more conveniences, more space, more technology, more power, more range, more safety, more reliability, for pennies on the dollar and Tesla can't even do it.

Love your videos! I recently leased a Touring AWD (US) in Sonic Grey. Very Happy and love the drive and how comfortable it is. I am not a fan of the shiny black plastic and agree the honeycomb trim would have looked better. My biggest complaint with the vehicle after a few weeks is the adjustment of the rearview mirror. I am 6'1 and even with tiling the rearview mirror all the way up, seat in lowest position visibility out the back is not the best. Otherwise love the Prologue and agree that it's not wacka-doodle.

as the review said - Honda has its own supply chain on this, so it should be just fine and it is nice to know that GM will continue on with the platform for many years apparently if you do hold onto it for a long time - with EVs many lease as a mitigation to most being in a evolutionary track and its uncertain for most looking to the longer term ownership.

@@FrunkensteinVonZipperneck that’s unfortunate. Ford has access already and Rivian, Volvo, and PoleStar announced they will have access less than 3 weeks from now. Even GM’s twin of the Prologue will have NACS access within a year. I can’t see why anyone would want to buy the Prologue, or any other EV for that matter without NACS access. Increasingly, Tesla vehicles will have to compete on their own merits, not the merits of its charging network.

This is a huge no for me. Waste of time to use GM as a basis. Terrible reliability and Blazer EV already has battery/charging issues. You can get a CRV Hybrid for $15k less, more cargo and interior space, similar power, farther range, and it’s made 100% by Honda. Not to mention I think this is VERY expensive for what you get. Low range, cheap materials from GM, and an exterior the size of an Odyssey with an interior of an HRV?!? Insane. I truly think this will be very unsuccessful. Also, I was born in 1971 and live in Québec, would really really like you to provide the space figure in litres. I have a rough idea of what a cubic foot might be but boy I know what a litre is, and I think anyone who has bought a 2 litre of pop in N America understands how much 100 of those bottles are etc. Excellent review and man I hear you that the Ariya is a better choice but the Prologue has a certain something.

They had one at the Silicon Valley Auto Show just last weekend. It was a pre-production unit (so it was locked), but you could definitely look it over. I lifted the tiny rear wiper and thought, "well Zack is right, that IS a tiny rear wiper".

Noticed Gm parts on the interior. -steering wheel and stalk with controls -seats and power seat controls -Window switches and mirror controls -door locks and handle -sunroof -wireless charger -all of the pieces in the dash as well as the infotainment and software Seems like the only things "honda" are the outside. Just buy a Equinox ev and make sure your dealer will be able to service it for more than just the next few years when honda leaves the platform.

The hips look like a RANGE ROVER EVOQUE. The overall style is also similar. The platform is GM. Honda seems to have lost sight of its uniqueness.

can you drive 800 miles for $25/month? Thats what it cost me charging from home for my 200 miles/week commute in the prologue

The Prologue and Blazer share quite a bit more than just the skateboard but Honda has done a great job turning this into a Honda. It's well executed and the Ultium platform is a good one. Those are big positives. However, the fact that their are unique-to-Prologue parts and that this is is a one-off for Honda means that parts availability and Honda tech support in the future will likely be iffy. That would be enough for me to look elsewhere.

Funny. Other reviews I’ve watched today said they thought the suspension was a little soft. Different strokes for different folks.
