I can honestly say this is the first Buick I’ve ever found attractive. Huge improvement from the previous gen! 👍🏼

I just saw it in person and as an owner of now 4 (CXL, Premier, Avenir and Avenir), this i feel is the ugliest. It looked like a big ole hearst from the Adam's Family in my opinion. I walked away from purchasing it. My favorite... the 2019 Avenir has the cleanest, meanest looking lines

Hi. We have had 3 Enclaves and have been very happy with them but our kids (and friends) are getting much bigger and the they tend to complain on longer trips. We do a lot of carpooling and car trips for soccer tournaments and need space for 7 many days. Any recommendations on another SUV brand/model that would have more space in the third row with captains chair?
@MattTheCarguy2 ай бұрын
Most likely you'll have to go to a full size like Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Navigator, Expedition, Wagoneer, Infiniti QX80. All of these will have more room. If you are looking to stay in the midsize segment new Grand Highlander or new Honda Pilot will be slightly larger in the 3rd row, but not by much.

Every tester is hinting that the 4 banger doesn't live up to the luxurious interior and swoopy exterior. Course and loud but no driving impressions yet, so cryptically hinted at. Tis shame, GM misses the target.
@MattTheCarguy2 ай бұрын
@@cbotten106 yeah, i have driven both Traverse and Acadia and recently the Enclave ST. I think they should have left V6 in them. But ( thank you EPA) they must meet very strict emissions and that easier done with smaller displacement.

Why not go with a natural V6 for that price? This is a pretty big vehicle… everybody putting turbos in 4 cylinder vehicles to make V6 power. To me a turbo is another thing that needs to be serviced down the road and the cost to replace it will depreciate the car by 30 percent
@toronado4553 ай бұрын
@@KC2024Champs This is all due to government regulations. The V6 was polluting too much and consuming too much fuel to meet regulations, so this is the solution GM came up with. I don't like it. In my opinion, they should have gone with a small non-turbo engine and an electric motor to boost it instead of a turbo. But this was a more cost-effective strategy for GM than using hybrid gas/electric tech.

Not a bad vehicle but can't imagine many people choosing this over a Lexus tx at similar cost.

I am not arguing your statement. But as my boss used to say : "there is a butt for every seat"
@cbotten1062 ай бұрын
The TX has a stop sale on it, so nobody is buying those currently. This competes well with the TX lineup except for the 550h+ which is a V6 with a plug in electrification.

@mojorisin73713 ай бұрын
The fact that this 4 cylinder in real world driving doesn't get that much better fuel mileage then the tried and true 3.6 V6 says it was a better beneficial decision for GM in manufacturing cost. Doesn't matter if this powerplant is more powerful it will take more rpms to get the most out of that power thus sounding coarse and unrefined as opposed to the V6 that will make more of its power in the lower rpms thus sounding more refined and confidence provoking. GM did a great job on the styling but not the cost cutting measures especially for a luxury variant. We'll see how the future years will fair better as they correct the issues people will have with it. Something tells me the powerplant is going to be the major one and GM made transmissions. Non the less I like the exterior and interior styling but $60k for a 4 cylinder Buick not even a Cadillac 🤦♂️ I'll intelligently pass ✌🏽♥️
@MattTheCarguy3 ай бұрын
Honestly I think it's the EPA that is driving this change in many manufacturers( Ford, Lincoln and Toyota are all going 4 cyl) They already have a decent 6 cyl. With few tweaks and a better transmission it can achieve better gas mileage than this.

What are the issues with Traverse and this engine? It felt strange accelerating when I filmed the Acadia and Traverse, this one I wasn't able to take on the road. 3rd row could definitely be better. I honestly wouldn't mind sacrificing a bit of behind 3rd row storage to have more legroom in 3rd row seats. We bought a brand new Pilot. So far so good.
