We love our 2022 Equniox LT AWD for the money and value is great and the reliability from new to 67,000km has been great ! Only oil changes for maintenance. The new 2025 we had the pleasure of driving it as a service loaner while in getting our winter tires on. Chevrolet is raising the bar across all SUVs for Chevrolet, Buick and GMC ! They should not be overlooked. In fact they should be placed at the top of the list. Had 2022 RAV4 rental and it was lots of plastic.

The Equinox always gets a bad wrap, but honestly, my parents have owned one for more than 10 years (2014 model) and have had zero problems. It's been a great vehicle for them.
@James-il3tq4 сағат бұрын
How much do they drive? Always look to resale values to see how reliable and in demand a used vehicle is. Unfortunately Equinox resale values continue to underperform which points to lower then average reliability. A turbo 1.5L in the new Equinox will likely be taxed hard and again be subpar reliability. Besides that Chevy has been making some nice looking and well designed vehicles lately.

Looks like a solid build better than most SUV's inside and out. The drive looks good, really smooth and no up and down vibration. The wheel base is longer and the vehicle looks wider making for less roll over than other vendors. And the Equinox EV version needs more work because it bounces you around in the back seat giving your passengers motion sickness.

Another solid vehicle by Chevrolet. My parents were looking for a new vehicle back in 2018 and did a ton of research on the various models available (compact crossover). They ended up with a new Equinox (first year of previous generation). Despite ranking in the bottom half of most comparison tests, I told her to ignore the reviewer ratings and focus more on what vehicle fits them the best (wants, needs, features, comfort, price, etc). It ended up coming down to a choice between the CRV and Equinox and they ended up with the Chevy simply because it still checked off more boxes and was about $3500 less expensive. They've had it almost 7 years now and haven't had any issues with it. They've been very happy with it. As you guys always say, check out the various vehicles and get the one that you like (suits your needs most). It may not always jive with the ranking online, but each person has different weighting in the various categories, so what a reviewer might find important, a regular customer may not (and vice versa).

@James-il3tq4 сағат бұрын
Well said. I'd tempter expectations with a turbo 1.5L putting out 203lb torque. That's quite a bit of boost from this small displacement engine. Typical Chevy/GM. Good performance, poor reliability.
@CedroCron2 сағат бұрын
@@James-il3tq GM is good at producing perpetual payment machine vehicles that last not too much longer past the warranty so I gather this over stressed 1.5L will be the same. Until maybe today GM could only really build the LS series type engines or heavy duty diesels and struggled to build anything smaller. Sure the 3.8L Series was a somewhat good engine and the 3.4L once the Lower Intake Manifold gasket issue was taken care of, but then the rest of the car left a lot to be desired in terms of cheap fall apart quality and plastic fantastic as Zach likes to say, so that is why a lot of people are hesitant on trusting this company with their money after such a long history of quality problems... Time will tell. Let's hope they have finally heard the message and turned the corner, but I won't be the beta-tester...

I had a 2022 Fleet Equinox, had to give it back, seat was terrible gave me back pain. Most taller bigger people had same issue. I don't know, guys, are you sure that you are sure that you are sure this interior gives more of an upscale and practical feel? This happens all the time with surprising new American products... How about the other way around on the all wheel drive system. It’s front wheel drive until you push the button, then it’s all wheel drive. How do you like that for some lousy GM cheapness ? We will distract you from all of the mechanical cost cutting with a big shiny infotainment screen while we charge you for all wheel drive that you have to know your going to need and then select AWD with a button and that’s along with the SEC 1.5 liter and it’s 175 hp as your only option.
