I'll never , ever drive an energizer bunny on 4 wheels. I risked my life in Desert Storm for oil and I plan on burning every damn drop I can get my hands on. I'll burn gas in my truck, lawn equipment, boat, atv , rv, and my bid fricken tractor.

What is GM thinking. People don’t want plug-in vehicles and for the price the interior is very cheap with all the hard plastic. If I wanted cheap plastic dashes and door panels I’d buy the Chevy Colorado.

Why the hell would I want to bother to plug in to drive a whopping 30 miles. I know I can drive after that on gas but really, plug for 30 miles…..no thanks.
@donaldweller4606 ай бұрын
Let's say you drive 30 miles per day round trip that's approximately 840 miles per month. At 12cent's per kwh that will cost you 44. 80 . If you get 19 miles per.gallon it would cost you 154.70 at 3. 50 per gal. Over a years time that's a lot of money. But if money's not a problem and you don't mind throwing it away, go for it.

@@donaldweller460 I see a place for these. Like EVs, maybe for an around town car. But I drive further than that almost every time I get in the car. And….I don’t want to wait until my car is ready for me to drive it. Um, no. And we haven’t considered the additional initial cost. My neighbor regrets buying his…… he’s says the pain of getting gas, and plugging it in, waiting hours to drive 30 miles, it’s not worth it. One of my cars is a hybrid…. That’s far enough for me.

Recently I was thinking about hybrids, but honestly they wanna charge you more initially. If it’s plugin then you have to get some sort of setup for your home (which I’m sure costs more $). If you can’t do that then you have to find chargers and wait around? Most importantly… how long do we expect these batteries to last? You have everything a regular ice car has that can break down plus this whole new system. What’s the cost of having to replace the batteries in say 6-10 years?

@Chris-mg6vv I can give you a couple of ideas on charging . You can change on a 110v or 220v . you could have your electrican run you a line for 220 and install a outlet. And buy a charger . Clipper creek makes a very good one for 350 or so an change in your garage, or you can change on 110v. I have a chevy volt, I charge over night while I sleep. The volt is aPHEV not EV and not a hybrid. Hybrids burn gasoline to change the battery. I can only speak for the volt battery my wife has a 2013 volt with a 145 thousand miles on it and the battery is fine. I hope this information gives you some insight as to PHEV EV and Hybrids.
