Way too many dealbreakers for me . 1.dfm on a 4 cylinder. 2. way too much electronic control of simple operations. 3. PRICE 4.not fuel efficient at all.5.PRICE

Yes the electronic light system is very annoying. So much for just pressing a button to turn on your fog lights or lights. (Touch screen- select truck icon, select lights, select light function) thought they wanted drivers to have less distractions lol 10 seconds to change your light operation

2016 GMC sierra 1500 AT4. Bought it with 80k, now have 198k. Kept up with all major maintained and pull around 4-6k trailer loaded up almost daily. Truck has never let me down and all electronics work flawlessly with a near new looking interior. I do believe a lot has to do with how well you care for and maintain your vehicle also.

I still think these are great looking trucks. My only complaint is I wish I had the option of an electronic rear locker in the lower trim versions of the truck. Not a fan of the G80.

I actually like the way the Canyon is optioned overthe Colorado. I would like to get a sunroof, and the only way to get that option in the Colorado LT requires the 4WD option. You can get the sunroof with 2WD on the Canyon Elevation. So it turns out you can get a Canyon for about $1000 less than the Colorado with with a sunroof and the Canyon comes with LED exterior lights. Whereas, you have to get convenience package 3 to get LED lights on the Colorado which would push the price about another $1800 more which includes leather seats and I prefer cloth. So there are some trade-offs.

I was a loyal Toyota Tacoma and Tundra owner for 20 years. My last was a fully loaded 2021 leased Tacoma. After the issues were exposed in the 2022 up Tacoma and motor issues with the 2024 Tundra I opted to see what my options were. Settled on a 2025 GMC Canyon and am asking myself "Why" I didn't switch before. Toyota comes absolutely nowhere near the GMC Canyon.

I would never lease something like this, I did Lyft with my 2022 Corolla to pay off my Colorado Trail Boss, it’s payed off only has 4K miles on it and it’s a year old after midnight tonight! Leasing is like renting a house and never getting to own it or sell it and getting lots of money back!

Yeah they sound so dumb. And I’m not a fan at all of any 4 cylinder. A in-line 6 is a much better engine design.

Canyon Denali too expensive? The Ranger Raptor starts out high as well. After having a '21 F150, I don't think Ford has a build quality that justifies ever buying a Ford ever again. I traded out of that sucker after 6 months. I couldn't bear it any longer. And the OTA updates would wipe anything saved in MyMode and sometimes the radio presets. I dont know if GM updates are like that, but if a PC or a MAC or iPhone can retain settings after an update, there is no reason a car/truck can't do the same.

The Canyon off road models look great and preform great also out of the box. What will stop working when it has 100k on it. I will keep my Tacoma.

I had a rental Tacoma. The Tacoma is THE worst truck I’ve ever driven. Keep supporting a country that bombed Pearl Harbor. It sickens me to see how many “Americans” don’t support America. I’d never drive a Japanese vehicle. Hideous, foreign-looking interiors and exteriors, weak engines, the list goes on and on.

@@cliffordmontana4562 The Tacoma is built in America. I have had a career in the oil fields of Texas. I am sure you did not give a shit when we were buying all most of our oil from OPEC while American oil field workers worked for penny's on dollar losing there jobs, homes, cars ect. OPEC was flooding the market with cheap oil in from 1982 to 2003. Enjoy your GM product. I will enjoy my Tacoma. The Unions are to blame for the poor quality for the American made cars and trucks. The roads are loaded with Tacoma's so most people must like them. By the way the war is over.

Whoever thought that White was a good choice for part of the interior decor was not in touch with those who actually use the truck for its abilities. Easy to get dirty. Enhances glare on bright days which makes it harder to see.

Have a 24 Denali. Really like the truck but have one big issue. The headlights flicker which is a known problem that GMC either can’t figure out a fix for or doesn’t want to. Took to dealer and was told there was a bulletin out for the issue and headlight replacement was the fix. Dealer supposedly ordered headlights but after three weeks I heard nothing so I called. Of course when I talked to the service manager he was just ready to call me, yeah right, because GMC said they found out that replacing the headlights didn’t fix the issue so they canceled all orders until they find a fix. In the mean time I have a truck I can’t drive at night and no one knows anything. I called GMC headquarters and got a case number and was told I would have a case manager assigned and they would call. They of course called while I was working and couldn’t answer the phone, so i called back and surprise, surprise I get an answering machine. I left my name and number and of course I get no response. I’ve call eight times now, get the answering machine each time. I’ve left four messages and not a one returned.

I have a Colorado Trail Boss, I had to pay extra for the 430# torque, what I don’t like about it is it doesn’t feel like 310 hp 430# torque, maybe it’s the 4 cylinder sound,,,,, maybe I can find a V8 speaker from a wrecked Dodge Daytona EV after they come out!

The biggest turn off for me in all the mid size trucks is the small engines sure adding turbos will give you power but they won’t last 300k+ miles also to much unneeded features inside I just want a truck for work to drive to work and home and use on the weekends for hauling building materials hay sand stone ect. I don’t care so much about the mpg as I do the power and how long the engine will last and I want a simple made truck easy and cheap to fix. Also why do they never drop like a 3.0l or 4l diesel in them would tow more get better mpg and last along time after you delete all the pointless emissions that the rest of the world doesn’t fallow. But I guess I’ll have to just build the truck I want my self lol. To many people in trucks today don’t even use them and it just drives the price up and up. Also they cost 50k+ because they add so much that is just dumb trucks need to go back to work vehicles and only guys doing real work drive them.

I purchased a NEW 23 Canyon Denali last year...and just traded it in back in July. The about of electrical issues and SHIT gas milage were enough to "throw in the towel!" I made several appointments to take it in to get repaired...and every damn time I would show up and son-of -a-bitch there was no tech to "fix it!" I will NEVER own another GM product EVER AGAIN!!!!
