In Canada, Toyotas have absurd wait times. The dealers treat you like they're doing you a favour. No thanks. I still prefer when dealers throw in extras to woo you and make an effort to get your business.

I remember getting my Camry I had asked about a Sienna and the salesman said just forget we even sell it because we'll never get one! In fairness, I got the same attitude about hybrid models at the Kia dealership. We'll probably buy my wife a Ford Escape PHEV because they're actually available

@@jahmanborneo1343well that’s faster obviously but I didn’t buy one because the reviews weren’t that good on it. I can say this 2025 I bought is very quiet inside with the insulated side glass. It’s a plush ride. It’s fine. It’s a sensible choice. I already have a Porsche 911t S.

I would prefer the more fuel-efficient LE trim that is available with CLOTH seats in America. Plus, it's a lot cheaper too. The main problem with the hybrids in Canada is the 3-year wait times just to get one. Place your order and your $1,000 non-refundable deposit, and then wait 3 to 3.5 years before you actually get one, and by then the dealer just might tack on an 'extra $2,000 dealer fee' as well. That's why more people are going to Mazda products instead.

I can't speak to that.)

I have been told by a friend who works at Toyota. They real reason they ditched the Camry LE, is to convince those who want a base Camry to get a fully loaded XLE Corolla or Corolla Cross. Also those who is driving a Camry V6 would like to see a Hybrid Max as an optional engine choice. But its not a writing on the wall that Canadian Camry won't get an LE. Who knows we might see it next year. But as someone who has a 2015 Camry SE hybrid as a company car.I will likely wait for a used one, in a decade.

Toyota has always done well with their hybrids. But, I would strongly recommend NEVER pay over MSRP for any new vehicles! I also wouldn't pay extra for the XSE glass-roof. I don't even want that glass roof at all, yet they are charging customers extra for that? NOT ME! It's an up-charge option forced upon the consumer for over $1300. Good luck when the roof shatters for no obvious reason, because that is going on. There is a defect somewhere in the body that causes the glass roof to shatter on its own. I also don't like the fact that Toyota is stating the engine takes 0W8 engine oil. That's like water!!!!

Thanks for the review, folks. I’ve just bought a 2025 Camry XSE AWD partly because of your review. Now I have a question about CarPlay. I have been somewhat challenged with the CarPlay functionality for this Camry. In my 2021 Tundra, I have wireless CarPlay set up via a dongle. When I receive a text message while music is playing, the volume level of the music will decrease so I can hear the text as it is being read out loud to me. In our new Camry with wireless CarPlay, we will receive the text but the music volume level does not decrease making it extremely difficult to hear the text. Is there a setting I am missing? To review, my iPhone 11 works fine in the Tundra as I stated above, but not in the Camry. Thanks again, Grant, Red Deer, Canada

I would buy the Sonata over the Camry because there is no Gas only model with the Camry and Hybrids are expensive to fix as they age versus Gas only and I keep my cars until the wheels fall off because I'm not on the perpetual payment machine which a Camry Hybrid would have you on. This is because Camry Hybrid pretty well makes it garbage at 10 years when the battery pack is toast because it's too expensive to fix this and other components related to the hybrid model. Gas only Sonata model for the win in this regard. No problem keeping it on the road 20 years like I did with my Santa Fe with minimal repairs.

On average, you can expect to pay between $2,000 and $4,000 for a Camry hybrid battery replacement, including labor costs. The hybrid batteries on Camry's can be expected to last 8 to 10 years or 150,000 miles (240,000 km) to 200,000 miles (320,000 km).

Toyota/Lexus is consistently rated as the best for long-term reliability. Honda/Acura has fallen since 2016. Don't get me wrong, Honda/Acura long-term reliability is not terrible, but if long-term reliability is the most important to you, then Toyota/Lexus wins.

I think we'll keep our 22 model. Toyota phoned it in. I was expecting more and now they're offering less. TRD is gone and so is the real transmission. I'm sure the hybrid system is wonderful, seeing as Toyota mastered that. They changed the front and rear and some knick knacks in the cabin. Really poor effort by Toyota.

I Had the new Camry for 3 days as my car was in the shop needing a few things. Ti was looking forward to trying this car out since I used to have a Camry. he one thing I can agree is that the Camry is definitely a little mor peppy. Also both passenger and driver have auto seating. Now the things I cannot agree. The interior, the panels or the top of the dash to the bottom is separate by this piano black plastic what I can describe as being a decor. Was not impressed since it hade this waved lines in it and the matting with the other part which was a vent was not matched as it should. The second is the passenger area. It seems more like they are trying to create this cubby hole for the passenger. My wife was not impressed with this. The third is this the lower dash which has this knotted style fabric. That to me is just calling out cheap, since it felt like one of those plastic/waxed rope you use for boating, since it really felt that Toyota was trying something new with dealing with not spending money on an injected molded part. I feel in the long run this is just going to degrade. The third is the steering wheel. There is not volume button on the the steering wheel, or at least I could not figure this out since the manual didn’t provide this detail. What was worst that the knob you used as a volume control was very tiny and frankly not great. In addition I felt the steering wheel was on the smaller size as well. The last was the car is supposed to get 50 mpg. Well I drive between 64-75 mpg on the freeway, but I only got about 44 mpg. Now mind you my other car is a hybrid and I get way better gas milage there. Now I drove this in the normal mode and there is an Eco option you can switch to, but to me that just doesn’t make sense I have to be in that mode just to get less power to get 50 mpg. But I still tried really hard to get that milage and could not achieve it. So overall I was not to impressed with this model. The milage and the interior is a deal beaker for me. But it did drive very nice.

Toyota will sell every one of these they can build. It's a declining segment (mid-size sedans), which is why many brands dropped their models (the Altima, which was one of the comparison vehicles is gone next year). If you are buying in this segment, it's going to be tough to beat this vehicle. It's partly why other brands have dropped their models in this class. Toyota and Honda likely have 80% of this segment leaving the others to fight over the scraps. That might be why Hyundai isn't bringing in the Sonata Hybrid (lack of sales), but I agree with Zack and Andrea, if you're going to offer one powertrain, make it a hybrid since that's where everything is going now.

It's likely very similar to Camry in terms of the drive. They are very close on paper. Top of the line Camry is $10k less than the base Crown in Canada. Interior wise they're close. Crown is likely a bit more luxurious and quiet. I'd personally stay with a Camry or get a Lexus ES if I wanted smth more upscale. ES costs slightly less vs Crown. Imo Crown is a very goofy vehicle that is priced badly.
