I would prefer the more fuel-efficient LE trim that is available with CLOTH seats in America. Plus, it's a lot cheaper too. The main problem with the hybrids in Canada is the 3-year wait times just to get one. Place your order and your $1,000 non-refundable deposit, and then wait 3 to 3.5 years before you actually get one, and by then the dealer just might tack on an 'extra $2,000 dealer fee' as well. That's why more people are going to Mazda products instead.

I think we'll keep our 22 model. Toyota phoned it in. I was expecting more and now they're offering less. TRD is gone and so is the real transmission. I'm sure the hybrid system is wonderful, seeing as Toyota mastered that. They changed the front and rear and some knick knacks in the cabin. Really poor effort by Toyota.

It's a fantastic car, very good at what it was designed to do... Will you do a story on the 100,000 plus V6 engines in Toyota's and Lexus that are all being replaced?

I Had the new Camry for 3 days as my car was in the shop needing a few things. Ti was looking forward to trying this car out since I used to have a Camry. he one thing I can agree is that the Camry is definitely a little mor peppy. Also both passenger and driver have auto seating. Now the things I cannot agree. The interior, the panels or the top of the dash to the bottom is separate by this piano black plastic what I can describe as being a decor. Was not impressed since it hade this waved lines in it and the matting with the other part which was a vent was not matched as it should. The second is the passenger area. It seems more like they are trying to create this cubby hole for the passenger. My wife was not impressed with this. The third is this the lower dash which has this knotted style fabric. That to me is just calling out cheap, since it felt like one of those plastic/waxed rope you use for boating, since it really felt that Toyota was trying something new with dealing with not spending money on an injected molded part. I feel in the long run this is just going to degrade. The third is the steering wheel. There is not volume button on the the steering wheel, or at least I could not figure this out since the manual didn’t provide this detail. What was worst that the knob you used as a volume control was very tiny and frankly not great. In addition I felt the steering wheel was on the smaller size as well. The last was the car is supposed to get 50 mpg. Well I drive between 64-75 mpg on the freeway, but I only got about 44 mpg. Now mind you my other car is a hybrid and I get way better gas milage there. Now I drove this in the normal mode and there is an Eco option you can switch to, but to me that just doesn’t make sense I have to be in that mode just to get less power to get 50 mpg. But I still tried really hard to get that milage and could not achieve it. So overall I was not to impressed with this model. The milage and the interior is a deal beaker for me. But it did drive very nice.

Just to get you to the Store or Work? I don't get it. Its an automobile not a Living room. Nice Headlights and body lines but i'm not liking the facia😎

@@kentuckygreg4725 I drive both types of transmissions: an eCVT RAV4 hybrid, and a CVT Honda Accord non turbo gas model. The eCVT is a very different experience. Particularly the Toyota 2.5L hybrid powertrain pulls very strongly and in a linear fashion compared to the Accord CVT, which feels like it is slinging me with a rubber band.

Great, I miss my Mazda 6 turbo but traded it for CX5 signature...I'd rather have a Mazda 6 with AWD but as you know there isn't one. So do you think it would be good idea to trade the CX5 for this new Camry. I doubt the driving dynamics is good as the Mazda but this has go my attention, what do you think? Toyota will sell every one of these they can build. It's a declining segment (mid-size sedans), which is why many brands dropped their models (the Altima, which was one of the comparison vehicles is gone next year). If you are buying in this segment, it's going to be tough to beat this vehicle. It's partly why other brands have dropped their models in this class. Toyota and Honda likely have 80% of this segment leaving the others to fight over the scraps. That might be why Hyundai isn't bringing in the Sonata Hybrid (lack of sales), but I agree with Zack and Andrea, if you're going to offer one powertrain, make it a hybrid since that's where everything is going now.

Toyotas killing it with hybrids and plug ins, now with bolder and refined designs too. Not to mention Akio Toyoda being vindicated for not going full EV, rather transition to hybrids and plug ins first! Love it.

@@janoycresnova9156 Yes, I knew it cost more. It appeals to me in terms of interior. But I guess I’m wondering about the drive and I guess, the value over the Camry. Is it justified in terms of cost above highest trim here.
@janoycresnova9156Ай бұрын
It's likely very similar to Camry in terms of the drive. They are very close on paper. Top of the line Camry is $10k less than the base Crown in Canada. Interior wise they're close. Crown is likely a bit more luxurious and quiet. I'd personally stay with a Camry or get a Lexus ES if I wanted smth more upscale. ES costs slightly less vs Crown. Imo Crown is a very goofy vehicle that is priced badly.
