I know this is an older video but I had a chance to test ride a F900XR today. Definitely not made for a big guy that is 6’ 2”. Too cramped for methuselah days. When I was under 35 yrs old sure. Definitely not now.

I think the adjustable engine braking is part of the IMU package with the Dynamic modes. Maybe the XR didn’t have that activated.

Yes, this is a truly well built and good looking bike. And the blue colour! That rear light looks strange. In Europe it's much smaller. Is it a US thing?

Any chance I can ask a question? I'm gonna start riding again this Spring. But I haven't ridden in 13 years. So I decided to enroll in a safety course before getting my license again. I've since had some health issues and I'm wondering about bikes that can be shifted by hand. Foot brakes are fine I'm just looking for a hand shifter preferably without messing with the clutch but I can if needed. Any recommendations? Thanks again Shawn for the vid, I love these BMW's.

Honda has dual clutch auto shift available on some models. Vfr1200 if it still in production and of course the goldwing and just found cxt700?

Nice bike , also think good pricing . But that tail tidy is hideous... don’t know why manufacturers are making such on stock bikes . Wonder if the engineers have not found a decent way to do something better than those and also pass regulations .

FZ-07 with elements of Suzuki GSX-S750, especially in those radiator shrouds. Surprisingly, the F900R is also price-competitive with those bikes.

Monsieur J l Haha not my kids, and not any of the direct competitors to this bike have motors made in China. Chinese metal and tolerances are inferior to U.S. and European and that’s a fact!

I'm old as heck, and sure don't need it..! Lol If you have it, it comes in handy at times, put not a priority for me by any means. Some have medical issues, and need it... Then there's those that think they have to have it and never figure out how to turn it on..! Thanks Craig!!
