Great color with the black fretboard and black body or blue body . And great warm full sound .

I think the Texas Tea would look great with the gold anodised pick guard (and pickup covers / knobs), plus maybe a Texas Tea headstock. I also wonder what it would look like with a black pickguard and knobs/pickup covers. I would be tempted to add some different wiring options to make use of the three “spare” S1 switch positions. I have a Strat with an Ebony board and I think it suits the guitar well (I also love Maple and Rosewood, but not pro ferro nor laurel).

@@craigthomson3621 you’re 100% correct, if they make aged knobs and gold pickguards like the previous ultra with this fretboard, it’d be a perfect guitar for me…

Na it looked terrible thats why they removed it on the Ultra II (Gold anodized pick guard) White pearloid looks best, or the one the Tele ultra I in texas tea has

00:49 I've played Strats for over 50 years, I see they've finally figured out how to 'fix' the neck inset area, via a slightly thinned and tapered heel. This should have been fixed decades ago. I wish they would figure out that while some of us love having the volume knob up against the strings, many of us move them out of the way the first week we get a 'new' strat..

I think Texas Tea is simular color to the old Montego black. Cream pickguard with black knobs and pickups looks great.

I mean from what I see on the specs.. They just took Fender Ultra Luxe and renamed it to Ultra II? Confused. Or how it's different better then Ultra, or Ultra Luxe. The Ultras, and the Luxes.. I can't honestly really see what needed to be improved. The guitars were the flagship of fender outside the custom shops. I like Fenders.. but they're Tier strategies of late have been off kilter.

It is odd that they’re constantly trying to reinvent themselves. Player II, Vintage II, and now Ultra II. From our perspective as a retailer, it’s more or less an excuse to increase cost and retail prices $100 with minimal effort. The access to more colorways is nice for those that were already looking at the Ultra lineup. - In the end we’re just trying to demonstrate the instruments the best we can for others to make a judgement call for themselves.

@@tarpley-music Well if it keeps them in business I guess it's good. I think the fact that guitars are made so awesome. One of the few things you can buy that could last you an entire life time. Must be hard for Fender to keep guitars rolling out the door. I wonder if there will be a point when there's literally just too many guitars in the world.

Stainless steel frets harm the sound of guitars. They're fine for a practice guitar, but for pure sound, they're bad. That's why PRS and Gibson don't use them; they should be reserved for lower-end guitars
@bikersoncall8 күн бұрын
@@Mister.L598 I've had just about every Gibson model ever made, and currently PRS Ibanez and others, this guit with stainless frets easily sounds and plays as nice as any of the Gibsons and PRS's that I've owned over the last several decades. Gibson must have a lot better ears than I, I'll trust their judgement but keep the stainless frets.

That’s why we’re focused on showcasing the instruments as best as we can, so others can make their own informed decisions. It’s a great guitar for someone looking to purchase a top end Fender, but why they felt the need to create a second series? Who knows.

Why does it seem like all demos I see on strats that no one ever really hits that hi E string. Maybe because they can't get it right at the factory without that annoying buzz and hi tone
