Genesis is definitely making a strong impact and offering better features than competitors under and over 100k, but the electric hybrid, turbo with electric supercharger is undesirable because they will definitely fail at some point and cost huge amounts of money to replace, while not really making the car very fast by current standards. Turbo or supercharger alone should have been tuned to be enough

This is such a sexy car - I have a 2019 Genesis G90 5.0 and I love it.... the one criticism I have is that it looks so vanilla. When I used to drive a Camaro, I would have people complimenting me on the car all the time. In the 2 years I have had the Genesis.... I'm still waiting for someone to notice it. The only question I have ever got was when somebody didn't know what brand it was. The Genesis brand is still relatively rare in Canada (Toronto), and I don't think I have ever seen another G90 on the road. The 2023 version is drop dead gorgeous - I would legitimately take it over an A8, S-Class or 7 series, just on looks alone. It oozes class and gives off some serious Aston Martin vibes. The $120K+ USD asking price for the LWB is starting to creep up there... I hope Genesis doesn't go the Lexus route. Introduce value oriented luxury line, but gradually increase the price until it is on par with its German rivals. Really hope that this comes to North America soon.

Previous gen L version have stretched B pillars similar to BMW L7, so I was wondering how they're going to do the L version with that kind of side profile and rear door shape.. Personally I prefer the look of stretched pillar but I kind of suspect they did it this way because of the shape of the rear window. Even with bespoke rear door and tweaked roofline this approach make both S-maybach generations bloaty if that's a word..

Anyway I was saying, that's how designer "hide" the extra length, extra long car need its proportion "corrected" usually with; (a) stretched B pilar as in previous G90L or E38 L7, (b) stretched door, by literal stretching and/or with slight tweak with the roofline and C pillar (s-maybach), (c) add middle windows (limo window) cmiiw the last one mostly coach build though, never seen car maker do (c) for actual production

The price gap between this gas and Mercedes Benz is not enough to justify paying $131k for a genesis when u an add $$50k more abs get a s500 LB instead. Hyundai/genesis should have kept this car under $100k for it to have any advantage
