Generally speaking I find E bikes will jump much further than normal bikes. I went to 440 today and rode my normal bike to start then my E bike. The E bike went so much higher and longer on the same jumps. It is not what you would expect but when I am doing new jump lines I prefer the E bike.

It sucks that not many people do the last, new built one... People just skid before and leave big ruts witch makes it hell to ride down on a 130mm travel hardtail... I sent the full line when it had just opened and that is when I filmed a vid on my channel. Still very fun though!

Maybe turn down rebound one click on each end on the ebike and give it a whirl again , i find my Levo is either planted or poppy if i do a single click each way. Also more pump track riding would help , firstly you need to claim back the Redbull trophy from Lindsay but also your pumping needs to be on point to get speed for the next jump when they are that close together by the looks. Hmm and that crack when Lindsay took a tumble gives me shivers.
@bestdayevermtb23 жыл бұрын
Firstly I should point out that I have never adjusted the rebound on any bike I have owned!!! The funny thing about making videos is you are seen as an expert when in reality I don't know what I am doing. I have Graham's shock wiz to play with so hopefully I may learn something. I am constantly trying to improve my technique. I think I may turn pro at 70.😅😅😅
@CarkeekW3 жыл бұрын
Ha, well i have two very simple ways to dial in rebound pretty close while still in the car park . When i got my hands on a shock wiz it told me all was good apart from 5psi more in the rear shock effectively so i must have a reasonable feel for it. Maybe your shop set it close enough ? Any how one click on each end toward "rabbit" and try something small that you know well and see how you go. Else Lindsay will have my number i expect and i can show you a cool local pump track at the same time .

I can't wait to ride the re vamped Katore jumps the jumps were all to short for the speed generated on the trail. If your on a E bike they don't tend to flow well through slow jump lines because you need to carry more speed to make the same gap.
@bestdayevermtb23 жыл бұрын
I agree that e bikes jump well with speed and actually travel further with momentum. The new middle section suits the e bike but the top section is much harder as you cant generate speed you need to rely on lots of pop to create height. Either way you will have fun.
@Brendon-L693 жыл бұрын
On the kenevo I’ve found that if you hit the first gap hard and fast with a couple pedals in and squash it like you’re in a race then it gives you enough speed to nail the next 2, the last 2 have enough space for a quick pedal so they’re no worry. On the step down to big gap I just don’t touch the brakes after the big corner gap, that landing is so deep and on the gap at the bottom the case pad is so big and forgiving. The track builder/tester put himself in hospital by nose casing the back of the landing before they decided to put the case pad in so that sucks.
@bestdayevermtb23 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tips. Might have another look at the one I missed. I normally like to watch someone do it first to gauge the speed. I certainly wouldn't want to be the poor guy who tested it.

What was the logic of that nice grade 3 trail being turned into a grade five death trap for average riders? Probably so the Trails trust can continue to act the big hero and have their ‘ ambulance at the bottom of the cliff’ response unit.
@bestdayevermtb23 жыл бұрын
I understand what you are saying. It is frustrating when a trail you could do becomes harder. I was certainly frustrated. Saying that the trail has always had a grade 5 rating. I think the perfect trail is one where you can do all the features but are still challenged. The problem is the perfect trail is different for every rider. I think building trails is a no win situation as pleasing everyone is impossible.

That is the problem. The jumps at the top have steep take offs and landings. If you go too fast you flat land and are not set up for the next one. These jumps are not about speed but getting lots of pop and height. The middle and bottom jumps are all about speed and despite being much longer jumps were easier to clear on the e bike.
