The arrangement of the parts on the sprues yields clues to other versions that may be in the works. I note that there are separate frame rails on the same sprue as the interior panels which means longer wheelbase versions will involve substituting only a single sprue. I also note the presence of separate frame rails and crossmembers which could mean a two wheel drive version can be hoped for as well. The separate chrome hubs hopefully mean a set of factory spoke style wheels are also in the cards.

That is a really smart move and investment to create a new Blazer kit with modern tooling and fully detailed. Fans and collectors will get the kit first, and then, since pretty much all the squarebody model kits from every brand are based on old tooling, I can betcha that the scratchbuilders will buy a crapload of these as parts donors, and also because a proper Blazer kit was one of the missing link in the scale squarebody line. I bet that will be a cash cow for Revell for years to come!!!!

Man, this is a GREAT video Chris!! Owning multiple of the real ones, I give this a 99 out 100!!! For the most part, VERY ACCURATE kit! The windshield s never really had trim per se, it's a rubber seal around the edge & the Silverados got a chromed mylar seal lock strip. Those axles, & driveline are to die for here. The chrome sheet(where you were thinking hub covers) parts 90 & 36, YOUR RIGHT, which means there will be Rally wheels in a future version. The rear ones have the 4x4 logo cast in them. That dash is SPOT ON!! -Kudos Revell! I'm actually glad they cast a base level body(without the lower body moldings) as that leaves SO MUCH potential for alternate builds - fire/rescue, military, other municipal, etc. Everyone better hustle up n order one, as these are gonna SELL OUT QUICK!! Thank you HPI GUY!

😲Nice! Revell is back big time! This may go down as the best model for 2025! Love that frame!! and the detail level for the rest of the kit! I do hope they will invest in a series of Square bodies such as full detailed pickups , suburbans, and more blazers and back date to 1973! Also would love to see all new tooling for the prior generation,(1967-72), pickups with this level of detail!! 25 looks to be stating out with a bang!😊

So glad you said that about older AMT Semi models. I tried to build one when i was 14 or so, pretty experienced at that age. It was impossible to get the frame rails and cross members right it was a nightmare. It shattered my confidence and joy. Luckily i started buiding again in my early 20s and I've i consistently built since, im now 50

While I'm not a fan of stranger things, it's great to see some new models coming out again. And the little details in this kit are pretty nice. I wanted to say that I appreciate the videos. Currently stationed in a not so friendly portion of the world, but I've been making a list of kits I'll be ordering when I return home. Thank you for the great content.

Definitely on my list to get the Blazer! Hopefully, they will do all variations of the squarebody trucks. Suburban and as many cab and bed versions of the pickup as possible.

I can't believe none of these companies have done Chief Brody's K5 police Blazer and replica of the Orca from JAWS. I'd buy both.

The Orca is LONG overdue for a plastic model kit…
@williamkidney603110 сағат бұрын
Cool stuff. Yeah Chief Brody's blazer would be awesome. Don't know if you heard of it but they do have a resin model of Bruce the shark from Jaws, one side is open to show the mechanics inside and comes with the platform he sat on.

“Oofta” - it’s been a long time since I’ve heard that. Nice model. I drove Chevy Blazers in the Air Force.

I had an 85 K5 Blazer with 9 inches of lift and 14/35 Gumbo tires on it. I think I see a lifted model kit in my future. Lol. Thanks for a great video. Bruce in Wv!!!

They are not called Wig Wags. It is an emergency light bar. Wig Wags control the head lights flashing pattern. Great revue as always.

I don't care about "Squarebody" Chevrolet anythings. As a man with blood that is Ford Blue, i am glad to see this kit. I've never seen the show, I don't watch much television. I see many possibilities for the kit and the tooling looks great. I 'll pick one up, and I hope they do a '73-75 with the removable full top. For you guys into pick ups, I hope this leads into a group of pick up kits, GMC variants and perhaps a Suburban. The Instruction sheet looks like someone has been paying attention to Moebius.

Guess we’ll be seeing longer wheelbase and 2WD variants of this, as well as pickup and open body ones. Provided this version sells well.
@dantimmerman669312 сағат бұрын
This is awesome. If only there were an option for 2wd, especially with that separate frame construction.

I recall all the model kits based on cars featured in TV shows when I was a child. Never got to build any, but I thought it was cool. This Blazer actually looks quite impressive, but I know the Camaro and the VW have some years on them. I'm looking to get one of those plus the camper version, and that surfer theme has given me an idea.
@JoslinModels26 минут бұрын
I pre-ordered 5😅 hopefully these do well enough Revell will do pickups and Suburbans (even better if they also do the '73-'80 versions too!)

BIG disappointment the back roof is not removable like the old Monogram Chevy Blazer, Sheriff’s Blazer, and GMC Jimmy. Revell did have the molds witness the Mad Mudder and the Pulldozer. However, new tooling is welcome.
@lincoslam15 сағат бұрын
Yes but those old Monogram had their quirky 70's proportioning issues. The MPC K5 nailed the body, but it was a snap kit.
