Unless you had hard, definitive evidence (something beyond your personal testimony AKA “hearsay”), you’re going up against a very rich and powerful, well-connected celebrity that could easily counter-sue you for defamation and has probably already intimidated you into silence due to his celebrity status and powerful connections. The nature of these crimes also tends to create internalized guilt/shame and survivors are embarrassed and scared to come forward and expose this extremely sensitive type of personal trauma. They’re probably more concerned with just trying to figure out how to move forward and live their lives after something as abhorrent and unspeakable as this happens to them, and less concerned with trying to take on the incredibly difficult task of “proving beyond a reasonable doubt” that a powerful celebrity took advantage of them. That is a very big deal. Only once a precedent has been set and the offender has been subdued, do people even begin to feel brave and safe enough to open up about their terrifying experiences. I don’t think it’s as easy as “well why didn’t you just come forward”…

This is also about fear and intimidation. These people. These victims, knew nothing was gonna be done in their cases, and that diddy had a team of armed security, who were also involved in there assaults, or complicit, that could very easily come back after them, of they DID take it any further, so of course they were living in fear. I think once they saw and understood that he was in prison, and they he wasn't getting back out, that's when they felt safe enough to come forward, and that's why I dont think there should be a statue of limitations on these crimes. It makes perfect sense to me. Am sending my love and prayers to all the victims, that are still alive and those that he has silenced. ❤ 🙏🏻
