What a GORGEOUS and WONDERFUL car ! The front and the interior are just AMAZING ! The rear is something to be used to, I was not an absolute fan of it, but already saw few ones in a truck on Switzerland (likely coming from the factory), and that looks really nice too, especially the 3 red lights symbolising the Lion's claw. To complete your review, the so called "I-cockpit" is standard across the range (even at entry level 25 900€), seems that the demo mode made the GPS going slower than it really is, and CEO of PSA, Carlos Tavares, claimed that it's the BEST DYNAMIC SUV OF THE MARKET in terms of drivability. Waiting for your next complete and FAIR review of the car, Thomas ! ;) Good job.

Very nice indeed.. waiting to see the car in the showroom... A thing not properly highlighted is that I-cockpit is standard across the range. In fact according to Peugeot this will be available across all the range of the cars in the near future except for the 108 which will only have analogue display

This could be a step forward for Peugeot. In the last decade the design of the cars was ugly and many customers have gone to other competitors. Now I am really impressed of this car, and happy to see they "back to the race".

Awesome! Really like the new design. Could be head to head with premium brands (design wise) In my opinions they should ask for around 1-2k more per Car. And invest this in the last not so good things in the Car. For example that there is no cloth inside of the door compartment. Maybe offer more engines. Or the 8speed automatic from Aisin. Would really like to see Peugot as premium brand. Like Audi in germany

At least the orange one must have been a lower trim than GT. Potentially it had the GT line styling package. GT is only available with EAT automatic gearbox - this was a manual shift. Also the GT does have wooden inlays instead of the cloth ones. Also the wheels looked like the 18 inch ones, the 19 inch wheels have a different design. But still a good first impression video from the Paris Autoshow. I am really looking forward to the Autogefühl test drive video. By the way - great design and - if it should work well - great new version of the navigation system.

What an awesome car. It will be a tough decision between 3008 and Kodiaq. I like Kodiaq a little better on the front, but 3008 wins in the back, side and interior.. so I guess 3008 it is.
@georgegl31927 жыл бұрын
Yup. i am looking for a new one sometimes next year and it is between Kodiaq and 3008 for me. Both have Android Auto (which is a must for me), but the cockpit in the 3008 is just amazing. the kodiaq is bigger, but that is not decisive for me. 4x4 is not a must, i go skiing twice a year and i bet the 3008 will do just fine in the alps. Also, 4x4 can be a source of major unpleasant repair costs.
@sic22l7 жыл бұрын
Kodiaq has more space inside. If you want a roomy crossover it would be better. But if the space inside 3008 is enough, you'll be better with Peugeot. Interior quality is awesone (expesially in the Allure trim), there's a lot of standard equipment for quite affordable prices (compared to competitors), it's very light for a crossover therefore it drives well and it's quite economical. Grip control system is actually quite effective. Best Peugeot in years or even in history.

Yes a nice exterior and also good looking interior. But I really dont get why some car manufactures can't make a proper, good and fast working infotainment system with no laggs. It seems that only the German brands can do this very well. The lagg on this navigation system for a brand new 2017 car is just a shame... I know that it asks alot of investments and so on.. but I hope that this lagg was only the case for the preproduction model or demo mode. But anyways nice video as usual Thomas!

Because car makers make cars; they don't really get computers or processors or graphics chips. I assume they buy the best they can on the budget they're given for the development of the car.
@theinformant96527 жыл бұрын
Peugeot said that they choosed the best procesor available... guess that was kind of slow 'cause of the DEMO MODE. Let's check next time Thomas ;)
@doneyhon42277 жыл бұрын
Because you can't use a Snapdragon 8XX inside a car for instance. Why? For various reasons. They are not designed to resist more than 8 years, they are not designed to resist in cold conditions during long periods of time, they are not designed to resist to hot temperatures during long periods of time, they are not designed to operate a protected system, etc, etc, etc. So Peugeot and all the others buy chips created by firms who can assure that it would resist to those conditions. The processors on the market are always in late comparatively to what we get today with smartphones and tablets because it takes a lot of time to create, test and develop a chip able to resist to all those conditions + you have to add the time to integrate and test the infotainment system on that processor to be 100% sure that it will not bug or crash the car or whatever. It's a long process. Far longer than creating chinese tablet, an iPhone or whatever.
@sic22l7 жыл бұрын
Actually Qualcomm processors are targeted to automotive industry as well: www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon/processors/820-automotive Nvidia makes their prosessors almost exclusively for cars right now and they're pretty powerful.

A great car, but with many flaws: The driving position is extremely narrow, you feel trapped. The central pillars, too wide, subtract visibility in the crosses. The windshield tends to fog. The battery does not support so many applications, the start and stop system stops working.

A big step for Peugeot, definitely. In general I like the exterieur design. There are some "buts", however ( I am saying that as a very satisfied driver of a Peugeot 208): SUVs are the wrong way, no matter what brand they are from. They are too heavy, too wide, too high. They have this massive, boasting and showing off appearance. They waste energy and pollute our environment, at least more than their "normal" brothers. Why do people buy these cars? A lower and lighter estate has at least the same comfort and space, is more agile and consumes less fuel. But with an SUV you can impress and intimidate others better. Welcome in the world of every day traffic! Back to the 3008. For my taste the exterior has too many details, the design should be more stringent and calm. The interior however is just perfect. The adjustable dials, the styling, the materials like cloth and even wood! I wish the new Peogeot 208 will have that kind of cockpit too in 2018. Back to the environment again. Imagine we would quit buying SUVs, super sports and luxury cars, would step down at least one segment and drive with respect for other road users and our environment! We would save approximately 30 % of energy, probably more. This is something everyone can do. And this is also something that everyone has to do. Why don't you personally start to think differently. Buy a smaller car next time! Be amazed, how good this modern small car is and be satisfied! And influence your family members, friends, neighbours and colleagues at work by being a forerunner in the right direction. It' s time to stop with carelessness and excuses. Happy new year everybody!

The front is really busy to much chrome and detail , this car is not made to age well, and that does not bring much value for money regarding longevity! The interior what can I say , I like the styling but the surfaces used is a mixed bag, I see nice elements like the fabric and the chrome, the buttons mixed with rather médium plastics, I guess that a version with sintetic leather on top of the plastics will be really special in this case! Also some gaps in the dashobard are not that interesting to see, but I guess you don't have that impression in the driver side because the cockpit and dashboard design is oriented to the driver.The seats seem very confortable, still I prefer the design of the citroen cars.Conclusion this car seems to bring some elemens from the DS wich I think is not good for the DS brand! And speaking of Cirtroen DS , my guess is that a DS version of this car will be much more interesting! :) Voilá!

Lol Regarding your channel, you seem to be French, Belgian or anyway.... You're part of 5% of people who don't like that 3008 in terms of design, and you seem that "you'll never buy a French car" as you said... That's kind of radical or IDIOT (maybe both with some HATE in addition)... Seem to be those kind of jerks who buy something only regarding the brand ;) IDIOT ^^
@Soussmeboules7 жыл бұрын
Yes it is something typical french to hate what is coming from their own country (like in sports, or when it comes to cars, technology). Too bad because Peugeot has made some real shitty cars last decade that is fact, but nowadays I would buy a Peugeot over any other direct concurrent if I consider the design, quality, and reliability of their cars actually.
