Sorry, Elddr is a beast in Glacier gear. Get his HP up to 70k and his attack goes over 15000 when deployed and he gets very nice boosts to damage from shields. My Elddr absolutely deletes AMR. With shield healers he is a big attack bonus to the team as well! Not sure how the talent works, but like I said. He's one of my hardest hitting fighters. The damage really is there on him.

I just started with WoR a few days ago. After about 80 of the blue summons out popped my first Lego and I was lucky and happy to see Valkyra join my oh so new and underwhelming team. She's a powerhouse already and I can only imagine how much stronger she'll be as my account grows. I fully expected to pull a less than great first lego. About elddr. He was my 3rd lord and I souldstoned him imidiatly and I use him everywhere. He hits 450k alone gets even more consistent when I have vortex. Pulled 120mil in gb2 apoc1. He is one of the 2 fighters in the game along wrath who can tank waves and one shot them.. just talking from experience

I like it when people talk about synergy from hero combinations: you are right to mention Valk and Gwendolyn. Gwendolyn is also the best healer for King Harz. He has several goodies tucked away in his kit that activate when shielded, including a 20% DEF increase (his DEF is lower than Brokkir's, but I assume Lords will always be getting their own 15% Lord attribute boost, which is why their base stats are always just a little lower than the best non-Lords), 30% Damage Reduction, and a chance to CC enemies by hitting them. One of his passives even increases the size of her shields to him by 60%, so at this point, a decently-fast Gwendolyn basically gives him most of the things that make the various Epic Northern tanks individually useful except Block count. Finally, HER Talent increases the size of the shields that he is putting out with HIS Lord skill and Ultimate. The degree of comboing between him and her definitely elevates him as a tank above where he performs standalone. I'm not sure that he ever passes Brokkir, because Brokkir can benefit from some of the same buffs that Harz provides to himself, but the Gwendolyn-Harz combo is probably more impactful than any "actual" Bond skill except what Silas gets from Vierna. The biggest complaint I have with Harz compared to other Lego tanks, is that his A3 Awakening should increase his Block count (maybe by 1-2 while shielded?) instead of boosting his damage. I don't have an A5 Harz yet, but I'm pretty sure that what it currently does is double the size of his self-shield if he was previously shielded (a la Gwendolyn), and a 340k HP self-shield (reinforced by 30% damage reduction and 20% DEF increase) probably qualifies as a reusable cheat-death... it just needs the micromanaging of timing the ult instead of being once-only automatic. The Gwendolyn-Harz combo is basically what killed using Northerners for me in VRNM, because it was "too good". Vortex can also provide Harz shields when over-healing, and any healer can over-heal-into-shields if they've got the right artifact... but Gwendolyn guarantees the shield. I also think that it may be worth mentioning a possible Gwendolyn-Elddr pairing, but I don't have Elddr myself. On another note, I really like the overall structure of this video, because you still provide use cases for the mid-tier heroes instead of falling into the Great-or-Trash dichotomy.

Northerners. Only one who you need three mages to complete the stupid faction trails. But my favorite northerner has to be Valk because of that INSANE range she gets. She has been a big lifesaver and I've gotten a dup of her and it makes her range even better. She's helped me so much in void rift!

I have a bit of a counter-point to your Eldyyr take. Eldyyr is GREAT at being a tank without being a tank. Any of those fights in void rift where Tanks get rocks dropped on them? Eldyyr can tank a lane AND does enough damage he's going to pick off attackers. I use him all over Void Rift and challenge PVE stages where you need a unit that can take hits and also damage people. He isn't flashy, but he makes a lot of stages easier in subtle ways.

He is great for Void Rift, however there's a few stages Isolde is better still. Her and Harz are also better in a lot of other content. Below Gwendolyn and Nocturne is a choice for sure though lol.

They did Falcia dirty. Her dps should be comparable or better than salazar, but the lack of self-sustain, and her ult not switching target or aoe, and without her a1 is what drove her off the ground. I proposed a new faction, where lorewise, its members are freelance huntsmen and bounty hunters. Their lord bonus would be giving them a small amount of damage bonus, and lifesteal for every hit landed, but the stack cap is very high, but the stacks loses if not constantly fighting. This allows obscure legos to have a chance to shine, especially those one trick ponies like Lucious, Kai, and Falcia to have a place on the meta, becauee lorewise, those 3 doesnt really have a set faction as home, like the north folks at fort backlast, or the unified watchguard. Theyre basicallu those folks who will hunt, for justice and vengence, as long as you gave the right price

Harpun can self-sustain cause he can generate shield on hit, meaning he's the only platform unit helping your maul in northerner 10 11 and 12 if you don't have valkyra or ardea

Valkyra is my favourite northerner. She was my first lego I got and carried me incredibly hard through campaign, until I got Khamet. I really liked her kit and used her when I could, even though she wasn't really meta at that time, then new content dropped and she got soft buffed through it, so I use her even more now

Brokkir is my favourite Northerner. Arrived early and hence you can imagine, how useful he has been to a Newbie. - Him not dying was my most fascinating discovery. Simply love him.... - Just cleared GR2 / 19 easily as he held oneside.... along with Valderon, who didn't need ANY help demolishing there other side, without your famed sweaty techniques :) - Video on my channel.... as I LMAO while doing it.... Had been putting off clearing this for a month now.... & realised, I had all the heroes to easily do it.... I almost wrote Vortex because I use him with Elowyn anywhere.... in any team.... But Brokkir was a notch better for impossible situations. Cheers !

Another cool list, pun intended. Oof on that Sadie ranking. She is my most awakened legendary, and has one of my highest BP. Sad to see her regarded so low. Double oof on the Falcia ranking. Love her look. I'm a huge Witcher fan. She was my top DPS everywhere for a while. But I pulled the likes of Arrogance and Silas some time after and her use rate dropped. Aveline has a great name. My favorite Aveline is from Dragon Age 2. There was this one companion mission with Aveline that still ranks as one of my favorite in the entire franchise. Midan and Estrid are ranked kind of low in my opinion. Midan's utlity and healing combination are pretty useful in many parts of the game. And isn't Estrid's defense break the best in the game? At the very least I would've ranked up above Krodor, arguably top 10. Goldlague of the Silver Shield. 2nd best free hero in the game. Golly Miss Marri. Best free hero in the game. Viable in early, mid, late, and maybe end game. Good in PvE and PvP alike. Such a well designed hero and accessible hero. Valkyra was my second ever legendary. What a beautiful looking model. What a kickass cinematic. And by the way, her kit isn't too bad either. Awesome, awesome hero.

This is a hard one as this is indeed a great faction, but since I don't have Ardea, my vote goes to Valkyra. She was one of my early legendary heroes, and I think her intro video is one of, if not *the* best in the game (with a nod to Cuke, no less). Her long range is just stunning in so much content, and she is at once beautiful and all business, with that incredible and sustained aoe damage. Oh and I should mention that she is my hero with the highest BP at this time. I just love using her in most content.

Even tho i have like nearly all the heroes in northeners like harz ardea valk and many more my favorite hero of the faction and also in the whole game is nocturne. Since the day i pulled him early game i used nocturne on everywhere. He was there when i first cleared void rift nightmare he was there when i first cleared nm4 50k he was there when i cleared gr2-21 which is the very first gear raid i managed to max out. Even tho i had heroes like a3 hex for magic damage or even when i use ghan ardea valeria for st arena i still add nocturne to the mix i still used him, still use him and love every part of his kit. His range his true damage never failed me. There is even a joke in my guild that whenever a new content comes people ask me if nocturne is viable since i always put him first on my teams :D I actually waited for a "most used hero" section in my yearly wor video so i could show off how much i used nocturne but sadly it wasnt there lol. I agree with everything except Sadie. She doubles all my healers healing an I'm not sure if it's because of her exclusive artifact or what but I posted photos in my guild of her healing side by side with all other healers on my codex which is ss plus and she triples 4 of my other healers healing and doubles my vortex's healing. She however is a3 with her exclusive stage 1. Not sure if it's worth some testing by someone smarter than me but my heros gear is not bad mostly all pieces ancient Invig with either calamity or war lord or life force and immortal.

I do not have Ardea, so could not try her in gb2, but what makes her s+ there? She can not stay low hp to have higher damage because she would die, bleeds are not required and chaotic and northerners are not good factions for gb2.

MY FAVORITE FACTION! Love Northerners. And I still have love for Dagna. You bumped up my need for Nocturne. Prioritizing Nocturne over Artemis. Never stopped wanting Brokkir and Gwendolyn. Elddr I use in almost everything. Valkyria is growing on me as she keeps proving that she's an MVP. Vortex is always proving that he's the best healer. @@anthonymatos9914 He is very good, a buff would not go amiss though, he's arguably the weakest ancient exclusive lord. Northerners generally get used in content to help with tanking, and I find he often isn't good enough for this role, while Isolde is. Whether due to him not being tanky enough or having 1 less block. And his damage output is pretty bad. Purely single target, not massive numbers, no range, no cc. He doesn't really provide a lot beyond his lord bonus.

Elddr is my favourite northerner (he is also the only Lego Lord I ever opened in the game since I started in Oct), I don’t have many good fighters and after testing against my other “good” fighter Salazar Elddr outputs more dmg and slightly everyone on the team. I also like Sadie a lot, I use her in pvp with a northerner team, I beat out a lot of Valerya teams (which i also don’t have) nyx codex, gr2 etc… 5704026(50068)

4095661(50010) Olague/Isolde combo. Valkyra and Maul are great, but I don't remember using anyone more than Olauge early on, and even now after a year. Oh how Lightlocke has fell from grace. He was SSS and then in 1 patch he was never used again lol. You can handle right side in faction trial with just Nocturne, Olague and Vortex. Left side can be done with Marri and Maul, but you need to use that 3rd mage just to get the 3rd star. That's a silly requirement Moonton.

I'm so happy to hear someone else echo my thoughts on Elddr. My guild keeps trying to gaslight me into thinking he's good, but he's so niche. I use him (as a lord only) in content where i have ardea and/or valk and need to deal dmg, which isn't a ton of content. Most of the time when I'm running Northerners, they're there mostly to be meat shields, and in those instances, I'm much better off running Harz so him and Brokkir are just a little bit thicker. UID is 5769825(50069). Favorite Northerner is Ardea, and it's not even close. I was SO pumped to pull her, cuz I know how good she is...but now I can't stop. Considering I just got her off Iovar's banner, it's kind of crazy that she's A2 already. I'm totally fine with more of her coming home though.

Great list! I sadly only have one legendary northerner. My favorite northerner, though would be Maul. He just brings so much from good damage as an epic to crowd control and he’s the only reason I was able to beat gear 2-19. I’ve also always had a thing for the trident. To me it's a tie between Vortex and Olague. Vortex has carried me all through early and midgame as i am now quietly knocking on the doors of late-ish game. His shielding waters always washed (not watched - see what i did there?) over me. Olague is my second pick because he was that steadfast rock that tanked that huge ugly boss in artifact raid 18 and took the blows while my fighters hacked and slayed at it until it finally fell. His HP is high enough that with his skills, he sustains himself in the fight. And his damage is comparable to some of my best nightmare fighters without even maining attack % on all 3 gear. Honestly I love him for what he's done for me. Carries me through void rift nightmare. Helped immensely in trials and campaign. And is a part of one of my GVG teams. With Lunacy Visor he's fantastic!

7271536(50107) Ardea has to be my favorite Northern. She was easily able to bring my account from mid level Arena rankings almost immediately to Overlord for AOE and single-target. The high base stats allow her to be thrown into any level of content with mediocre gear and do extremely well. Just overall a crazy unit that is very fun.

Valkyra is easily my favorite, biased bc she was my first leggo too. She was always in a squad back then and she is still one of my most used after 240 days. Hard carry in arena, GR2, GR1, and campaign was such a cakewalk. Loving this series and the longer vid style. 5955432(50071)

My favorite Northerner is Elddr, he was my first lego lord and he is one of the hero that can really tank and deal dmg at the same time, love him, He saved my NM void rift 5343929(50055)

5577878(50066) Brokkir is my favourite Northerner champion. I was very lucky to pull him early on. I think he was my 1st or 2nd lego! He's been used all the time ever since in many areas of the game. I don't know what I'd do without him. Great champion!

UID : 9324039(50118) At my stage , i'd say Olague since i started the game a month ago, my list of legendaries isn't big, i got lucky to pull Khamet and Setram, it helped me a lot focusing on building those two without having to worry about defenders :)
