I wonder if some commenters have seen the same show. At 2:50, he explains that the bomb someone ELSE set went off before he could get off the boat. He was IN A COMA all 4 years and RETURNED AS SOON AS HE WOKE. He didn't lie to her for 4 years and pretend to be dead. They have phenomenal chemistry. The younger sister's baby voice can be annoying. This is a wonderful drama with fairly good English subs and the cuts between episodes have removed all the intros and after credits so it flows fairly seamlessly.

I don't know why the ending was kinda give out a feeling of sadness despite it being happy one. It hinted that someone was taking photo of him and he staring at that person which might be her but he he also just be staring at a blank illusion of her or imagine someone that taking photo of him is her.

I think that’s why it had a feeling of sadness - we don’t know if she’s an illusion or real. He needed his shares back to the run the company, but why give back the necklace, if she was returning? It bothered me that she left after wanting him back so badly. She was completely selfish. He lied. I get that she was mentally exhausted. Was it not the same or worse for him? He had to fake being someone else, and keep her safe at the same time.

@@gwhiz6314 the things he did was never only for her. back then he wanted to save the chu's share . while investigating the case and defending chu family. he met her ,then loved her . still to protect the company he took the risk without giving her much details . she lost her whole world in a mare teenage year[when her parents and dreams were her life ] and when she finally started building her own world around her new found loved one and his family. he left for four years and she didn't know where he was or what happened to him and how long she has to wait . although he didn't mean it . what he did after has really hurt her deeply . she wasn't sure if he is alive or not and is the person in front him is really the person she had been waiting for years? after being denied again again by the husband, she tries to let him go only to find out he lied. he lied to keep her safe even though it wasn't necessary . she may have been physically safer[attacks were reduced ,not stopped] yet she was mentally exhausted. then he admits he lied for her safety and again plans to risk his life [this time , mostly for her]. but she is afraid to lose him again .so she decides to take the risk upon herself for his safety and for her own assurance and forces him to include her. in the end she loved him but her mentality became rather unstable and she couldn't forgive him fully . thus she left behind her chaotic life. for breathing .and yes he suffered similarly or less, the coma wasn't in his expectation still he got to choose what he wished while the fl was in desperation facing the unexpected situations again again unprepared. it's more hard to face some unknown danger in disguise while you are out in the open exposed than you being in the dark catching the pry

@@banibani8677 I am in total agreement that he was not guiltless. It was beyond messed up for him to let her grieve him. I don’t know if it was just my perception, but she didn’t seem that sad when he “died”. I didn’t realize she really loved him until after he showed up as his brother. You explaining her feelings makes me more sympathetic towards her. I would have probably beat him over the head for all my suffering, but I don’t know that I could have left knowing the love of my life was back. BUT it’s easy to say what we would or wouldn’t do until the situation happens to us. Thanks for sharing your thoughts . I appreciate it! 😊

He promised that he will return safe and sound, that's why she was able to last for four year. She believed that he is still alive, and she has to protect his company untill he returns. When he returned, she was sure it was him, no matter how much he denied, she knew even little details about his behaviour and DNA confirmed her suspicion 😅 so she was just trying to force him to admit it. She was utterly devastated when she saw that video in conference room and declaration of his death drove her in depth of sorrow. That scene where she reached home, that was so heartbreaking to watch. Keeping your partner in dark just to protect them could be acceptable to some extent but what if that person do attempt something foolish in despair like they can't live on, consequences would be unimaginable. ​@@gwhiz6314I liked how she left him to experience it himself. He knows that she is alove and well, but he can't see her, how mentally exhausted it is, he should experience it himself. Kudos to writer for writing this ending

This drama story is not believable...FOUR YEARS before he returns (and he never contacted his wife to let her know he was alive - for HER PROTECTION)! The story is ridiculous but the actors did well with this ridiculous script/story. Actor Li Zhou Yang (Chu Ze An/Chu Ze Jia characters), Actor Wang Yi Lei (Gu Cheng character) and actress Meng Xi (Yan Zhen character) did well in their roles.

For us Christians, we know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord which is “ up there” with Him in heaven. You would have been truthful, told her what you were doing, and not risk her putting herself into a position to be hurt. You cannot protect someone if you are lurking in the shadows, unaware of what they might be planning. It's no different than my parents/aunts/uncles not telling us kids that an old barn near us was infested with rattlesnakes. They only told us to stay away from it. My cousin wouldn't have been bit if they had explained the reason. We just thought they were being mean and didn't want us building a fort in there. That isn't including the mental and emotional pain he put her through. I would have dumped him the moment I found out that he was alive... after all, I just spent years living without your stupid self. I think the ending sucked. It's as though she's playing a game of tit for tat, which seems childish to me. I don't think he was testing her love; I think he was trying to protect her. I don't agree with the 'go it alone' mentality in order to protect loved ones, but I don't think you turn around and give the other person a taste of their own medicine either. I'm ok with her saying 'hey, I need some time away to recuperate and work through everything emotionally and then I'll be back', but I have a problem with her just disappearing with a vague note. Yeah, he disappeared, but a mature adult doesn't engage in tit for tat games. It's a waste of precious time that could be spent with that loved one. It's better to forgive then to fool away the time we have on this planet, time you'll never get back. So, in the end, I was disappointed in FL. Otherwise, it was a good thriller/mystery drama.
