I’m not afraid of scratches with lambskin, I’m afraid of water. I’ve never seen any photos or videos of what happens when it gets wet, but I live in a place where it rains and snows most of the year. Do you know about the effects of water on lambskin?

I’ve actually been caught in light rain with some of my lambskin bags and I would quickly wipe off the water and try to tuck the bag under my coat or somewhere safe. Water isn’t good for any untreated leather regardless of its lambskin or other, so I’d just be careful. It rains and snows here where I am, so if I know the forecast in advance, I’ll just grab one of my LV canvas bags as they are indestructible! 😂

There you go tempting me with that gorgeous red again! I also love lambskin Hanna! I also have several lambskin bags. My jumbo is new lambskin as is my boy bag. I don’t use my jumbo that much but both are great! I dont feel they scratch too easily. I also have a vintage Chanel which has amazing leather amd feels quite durable. My other Chanels are crinkled calfskin so very durable. I also have a Fendi peekaboo that is so buttery and although there are a couple scratches they dont really show and it looks great. I have ordered a new Chanel 19 in the grey (fingers crossed) and it is in lamb. I prefer lamb to caviar for sure.

I can't agree with you more. The tactile sensation and the sheen of lambskin win me over. Vintage lambskin is another level. I am fussy as well but I learn to embrace the "aging process" of vintage lambskin bag just like the aging process of people.

Lamb skin is amazing! I hate the fear mongering people put out there about it. I have lambskin from Chanel, Dior and also Fendi, no problems! Only thing I wouldn’t do in lamb skin are shoes. 🥰

I have only luxury handbags. I use them everyday. But some of them preloved so it is ok to use them without fear ;) and some of them has casual style^^

I’ve not used any products on my lambskin bags with the exception of my vintage black classic flap. I did an antibacterial cleanse and hydration when I first received it (it was quite scary though). You may want to check my Chanel playlist for that video, you’ll see what I mean. Generally, I prefer not to use any products on my bags.

Lol, I also want to rub my face in my lambskin bags. Was at dinner the other day with my black lambskin GHW CWC, and hubby asked if I wanted to place my purse on the bench on his side. Nope, not yet...still touching it. 🤣. Agreed on missing the Phoebe Philo days for Celine. I’m not a luggage tote fan, but really loved some of her other simple designs.

Yes!! For us tactile/sensory oriented ppl, lambskin is just such a luxurious feeling. There was a lambskin pillow at Chanel last time I was there (not for sale). I kept hugging it and touching it. 😆

Hi Sabrina! If you’re into vintage, St. John made some great little quilted lambskin or Napa leather bags that feel just as good as the Chanel’s. I got one for $60. I like the TB Kira too.
