How on Earth the animated reboot is going to be done, I cannot think. There's barely 20 jokes in this video that you could get away with today. Obviously, the show is not coming out of nowhere, and its history is known, but that is to an older generation. Fingers crossed the cancellers will give it a chance. (Opening joke of the new series should be - given that Al is now retired - that Al finds out he has been fired from the shoe store by being told by a couple he meets coming out of a wedding chapel. "Hey, aren't you Al Bundy?" "Why yes I am, and more important, what's it to ya?" "You sold me these shoes for my wedding and they hurt my feet." "Son, that's the least of your problems from this moment forth. Anyway, take 'em back and get a new pair. And also, of shoes." "I can't - your store has been shut down." "What! I wish the show would have explained why Peg was so into Seven. It could have been some character development cause it didn't seem like she put Bud on such a pedestal. Like maybe if she knew she had terminal cancer but hadn't shared that info but was doing so by investing so much in "her newest child". Or maybe she adored Seven so much since she wasn't one of Al's children? But deep down she actually loves Al, so that wouldn't have worked. So yeah, I guess I can see why the whole Seven character didn't make sense. I feel bad for the actor who played him since his character got so much hate.
