I remember playing this when the xenomite armour still fired the shards,to explain because they fired every time you got a crit the staves could manipulate crit chance to fire practically a beam of death that took up the projectile limit because weapons like the syringe has such high crit chance because the shards crit chance is based on the weapon you are using each shard spawns about 8 more and it quickly gets out of hand

The abandoned lab doesn't just spawn at the bottom of the desert in my world it spawned to the left of the bottom of the ice biome although it wasn't touching the ice biome itself

Im not sure if it was fixed in this update, but just so everyone knows: The lab is not compatible with multiplayer, i did a multiplayer playthrough a while ago and a whole bunch of the lab stuff didnt spawn and we had to do the lab bosses in our own worlds.
