Wow! Amazing. Regarding the custom Tony Klasson guitar, Norm says at 3:20 that he "thinks it's Brazilian" rosewood, but wouldn't it being Brazilian (or not) have had made a substantial effect on what he paid and what he's going to charge? Honest, tonewood-geekery question there. I don't know much about Brazilian in the modern era other than it is strictly protected, hard to acquire and very expensive.

Genuine question, Norm. I’ve watched loads of these vids, GOTD etc and always wonder what the guitars will cost. Is there a reason why you don’t talk about prices?

Simple! There's the shop price, let's say £35k. If he tells us that in the video, people will start ringing around and haggling with other vintage dealers, who will gladly under cut him. If you don't know the price, and ring in or visit the store, you might be the Joe who pays full price. You might be the smart guy who haggles the price down to (say) £30k (which was the "Proper" price anyway). However, when Bonamassa wants it, he sells it to him for (say) £15k on the proviso that he can video Joe jamming in the store, and the true price paid is never revealed. This means many an ordinary guy thinks that this is the greatest place on Earth to buy a vintage guitar, and pays full (or close to it) asking price. Just remember, Norm is in it for the money, no matter how much he loves guitars, he doesn't run his business at a loss. (He certainly has a much nicer house, cars, and holidays than most of his customers!) only sayin'!

Simple. Only two basic types of guitars at Norm's: "very clean" and "pristine." Well, there's a third subcategory --"very cool". Categories make paying $20,000 for a used guitar a snap.
