All the tuning problems with trem-equipped Stratocasters (and most other trem-equipped guitars) comes from lack of fluidity either at the nut or the bridge, or both. These are really fun guitars. My first guitar was a 1954 Stratocaster given to me Christmas of 1963, well-worn, but still beautiful!

That walnut ES335 is gorgeous. Ever since I took my first wood shop class in 7th grade (1974), walnut has held a special place in my love for wood. It was more expensive and look so much more rich than the other woods we used,to build projects. I always assumed walnut was rarely used in guitars building because of some performance or cost issues. But now that I’ve seen that beautiful hollow body Gibson, I really want one. So cool.

These guitars go round and round to basically the same rich people. And they don't make that much money. It's not like they found them in the closet. They pay big bucks for these and they sell it for a modest profit.

They are only worth what people are willing to pay. What gets me is when people actually believe they sound better. They are old. They don’t acquire magic tone powers for being 60 years old. Some have a specific character, but you know what? Lots of new guitars do too. Lol
