Hyo-Ryung (the girl who keeps falling) does contribute to the group. Although she does not have strength or courage to fight just like other girls in the series but she has one thing that she contributed to the group, her COOPERATION. She is willing to listen and cooperate with the group that is why she survives no matter many times she put her life in danger. Maybe we didn't see her fight for her life in times of danger but her willingness to listen and cooperate became her key to be alive throughout the series.

Her character was written to constantly trip and fall for no damn reason (yes I found it frustrating too). But by those events, we learn who looks just out for themselves in times of stress (Jimin - the girl who lost her parents in the white truck), and who continues to look after the group in spite of endangering themselves.

You know, you guys missed the main point of the whole show, which has been mentioned in the very beginning of the show, in episode 1. The whole point of the science teacher was to make a superhuman to avoid his son to get abused. And that's where everything went wrong. But the thing that the teacher missed was in order to stabilize every virus, it needs to evolve in couple of generations or lifeforms. And this is exactly what happened to Nam-Ra. She evolved into a superhuman, as she said herself: I'm not a human, nor the monster anymore. So I think the main plot of the 2nd season will be Nam-Ra gathering a group of superhuman like herself to fight against the regular Zombies.

I think theres just a few inconsistencies like them not picking back up their arrow when they have all the time in the world and a few more that i think any person would do even if they are dumb. Their decisions are understandable since theyre kids i just think logical things like picking up the arrow when u have the time is smart and anyone would think the same.

I think this kdrama does a great job at portraying how people would actually behave when there is a zombie outbreak. I mean we are not trained to face this for us to be all active and confident from the get go. Plus the way their interactions with the zombies were sloppy made it more realistic cuz most of us don't have any combat experience and they are literally high school students. And the group was a great representation on how different people have different character traits and approaches. About the pink sweater girl, she just represents the people who are not as agile or active as other, who are too anxious to think straight in such a situation. I don't think there is a point in not liking her character just because she didn't actively contribute that much. That's just realistic in my opinion.

I feel like the girl in the pink sweater’s role is to represent how a lot of people would realistically behave in a zombie apocalypse. @@nupur6815 I know you’re referring to that one dumb, poorly written moment when she wouldn’t go back to help her, causing her to get separated and ultimately be killed off. Because all other instances leading up to that episode, she’s been loyal and defensive like when she helped fight back against Gwi-Nam on the roof and helped hold the door back against the zombies in the second episode’s hallway scene while Hyorung would literally cower in the corner, no different than Na-yeon. I get the sense that the hate against Ji-min largely has to do with her cold, blunt, and brutally honest attitude, like when she became antagonistic towards Nam-ra after finding out she was bit or when she tried to convince everyone that they shouldn’t feel guilty about Ms. Park and Na-yeon. But the girl wanted to throw herself to the zombies after finding out her parents were dead, did a hell of a good and heartbreaking performance, and just had a lot more to her story and character than Hyorung. The writers did a sloppy job executing most of the final character deaths in the last couple episodes in order to have only a few of them survive. That’s just my opinion but I get the sense that I am not alone.

I loved Hyo-ryeong as a character. People consider her to be the useless one but she’s actually what 99% of us would be in a zombie apocalypse. She’s also the most supportive one in the group, you see her often comforting the other kids and being a shoulder to lean on.

So washing and food are the problems? 4 places were bombed. Hyosan High school, a college, a stadium and a intersection. So presumably good portion of the city is still intact. Which means there would be plenty of businesses left without people tending such as saunas, hotels, restaurants, supermarkets and etc... Nam-ra simply can go back home and live on. Staying neat and feeding herself won't be that big of deal when she has all the time and power newly gained. Matter of expanding your emagination.

One of the best ending and one of the best zombie series i have ever watched. Such a fantastic series. Alot of emotions that make us really cry. The reaction that they given was clearly show they all saw something and shocked maybe they saw cheong san one of them like humbie. Maybe they saw the science teacher in that group. If they are about to make season 2, here is my theory probably gwi nam's friend might be alive and villain in s2, all of their friends has been shown before they bombed the school except Miss Park and that bully guy, they didnt even show them that they are literally a zombie, we saw that miss park is just turning but we haven't seen her in the rest of episodes and the bully guy too, so there is possibility that they are hambies and Cheong san was smart he piled up the zombies and he used gwinam as a body shield so maybe he will come back in season 2. Mr.Lee will be the biggest villain in Season 2:))

Kingdom is phenomenal but All of Us Are Dead has some strong emotional impact that it's much more memorable. Definitely my most favourite zombie experience alongside Train to Busan and far far superior to The Walking Dead.

I agree. The emotional hooks are what sets this show apart from Kingdom although I really enjoyed the lore in Kingdom. Train to Busan was phenomenal and also so emotionally engaging which really set it apart from anything similar that I had seen at the time. About the rules thingy you guys were discussing.. Even for Covid it took us 2 years to set up all of "rules" like its specific symptoms even it was so inconsistent and varies depending on the persons immunity levels and it also evolved on its own that it had many variants. And someone really can't set up rules and this is the unique quality about this series which i loved. Like y'all just can connect the dots here right? Why always only think about a set of rules of how a Virus can act when a real life example is right infront of us. Like the Jonas virus can effect a person slowly also effect another at the speed of light and it can also be asymptomatic based on their immune system. Any way its just my perspective lol

This has been the worst series reaction by Jaby and co. on either of his channel tbh. I understand some things like emotional scenes and stuff might not get everyone. I, too, think that this series could've been at 10 episodes and it would've made a greater impact. However, what I can't look beyond is calling those scenes where the characters are dealing with trauma "stupid" or "dumb". More than that, the number of clear things that y'all missed that were either said or shown in the series is absolutely incredible. Many comments have covered all the things you missed in the show, might want to go back and read them. I know KZbin is all about trends and all but if you are not interested in a show, then don't react to it just for the sake of it. See how you're reacting to The Boys so long after it came out and it has been brilliant. Just like that, watch a show when you want to and not just for the sake of KZbin. It's absolutely disrespectful to the makers of the show and everyone involved.

Theories and possible story arcs for s2- 1. Cheongsan is alive and a hambie. "I'm not afraid of anything" while fighting gwinam. Name tag didn't burn and was shown purposefully. Onjo cheongsan love story is incomplete. Namra said there's more like her. Cheongsan eye will heal because hambies can regenerate and heal (namra all scars healed at end, gwinam eye almost healed till end). Since he's a fan favorite he must return. 2. Ms park (english teacher) and Lee byeong chan(science teacher) are hambies and will return. We didn't see them turn into zombie and didn't see them when bomb scene happened. Byeong chan might become another antagonist. 3. Onjo is immune to the virus. Ep1 cafeteria scene. A zombie comes very close to her face but doesn't bite her. Ep1 she gets a scratch which is not shown or talked about later at all. Drone scene she goes to science lab where mice are around her feet but nothing happens. There's also a possibility that onjo knows this coz she says to namra "bite me it's okay"(this is very little possibility). 4. Gwinam and eunji will return as they are immortal. (Said by director in an interview). Also gwinam is the main antagonist so very possible for him to return. 5. New characters might be added as our main cast is pretty less in number. Why would Byeong Chan be an antagonist? He seen the bad in what he did then sacrificed himself so the detective can retrieve his laptop. Yeah he's infected now, but that doesn't mean he'd be an antagonist.

Jaby I just went through this series to see your reaction to this series and i must say it wasn't an easy ride cause of frustrating loopholes and lots of fillers. But ending was good as it paved the way for more adventures plot in next season with bunch of experienced teenagers ready to right the next battle and hopefully not so much of fillers.

This show was great, but there were things they left unexplained that kinda frustrated me a little bit. 1. Whatever happened to that scientist guy who turned into a zombie? I hope he makes a return in season 2 as he looked pretty cool, like a boss zombie. 2. What was with the whole pregnant lady stuff? Why did they even include that part? I thought that baby is going to be immune or something and is going to be very important to the plot. But I guess that was only for the emotions that there's also a baby in all this situation. 3. Not only we didn't see our main lead and that evil guy's dead body (fingers crossed), we also didn't get to see what happened to the lady who got bitten by that mouse at the start? She just disappeared after attacking the hospital staff. Also our main leads father. He went out to do something but was never shown again. And what about all other characters parents? Are they still alive somewhere? 4. The whole zombie factor and how they know where you are? From the start of the show till the episode 11, they were supposed to be coming after noises. But then in last episode, when our guys were in the streets, the zombies kept coming for them even when they weren't making any noise. So they can also smell? I guess they evolved or something. There were some more things which I don't remember. I hope they explain everything in season 2.

Nam-ra has an entire city to live in the non-bombed areas. She can take a shower, get new clothes or do laundry, find another lighter, etc. The only thing i think hard is Food, if she eats people.

Hey Guys, i finished show last night and finished watching ur reaction, its been great watching ur channel and reaction to this show as i dont know anyone that is watching this show.. I loved the show, such a crazy journey, only thing i didn't get was why they rarely attacked the zombies heads as we all know thats how they are put down. I mean one of the characters referenced 'Train to Busan' so these movies obviously exist in this world.. Pity about the cliffhanger ending, so wanted Cheong San to come back at the end as he was clearly a Hambie and using that Psycho villian as a shield like Jaby said i thought it would have protected him from the blast...Achara i appreciated you explaining some of the writing on different things as u speak Korean, that was cool..What a show, the zombie movements were insane...Still wish we saw what they were all looking at, at the end though..Jaby, Achara, Syntel enjoyed experiencing this series with u guys, till next time.. Season 2 is gonna happen, and I bet Lee Byeongchan (science teacher) is gonna be the ultimate villain :D He was definitely walking normally after the transformation. Hoping Ms Park is gonna be there as well since we never saw her body. Also, I want Hyoryeong (pink shirt girl who falls a lot) to grow as a character. I liked her and she needed some more screen time. I don't get all the hate towards her. Yea she fell over a lot, but so would all of us. She was weak, but she never backed out of fights and tried to contribute. I mean....she is the physical representation of what the majority of people would look like when they are running from Zombies with 2 days of starvation. Like....we shouldn't even pretend that we can do half of the things we say characters should do in movies. She's a good realistic character.

I’d like to see Hyoryeong grow as well as she didn’t really have as strong of an arc as some of the other characters. I totally believe that the science teacher could be a main villain in season 2 because, as you said, he was walking differently from the other zombies and he looked like he wasn’t brain dead. But then snap! He’s no longer in the show…I don’t buy that. He’s coming back. There’s a lot of mystery surrounding the science and zombie lore in this show and that’s fascinating to me. It’s a lot less straightforward than a lot of other zombie content out there where the rules are a lot more simple and specific about what makes you a zombie. Here, there are a lot more changes which makes sense because it’s a virus and what we know about viruses is that they are highly adaptable. I hope we find out more about the mutations as well as the other types of zombies and hambies/halfbies out there.

@@Achara Ya for sure! The rules for Zombies in AOUAD are inconsistent, and that is exactly like covid. Some people have chills, some have headaches, some die and some are completely immune. I really like that. It adds a chaos factor. I personally think Onjo is an Immune hambie. She definitely hurt her hand in ep 1 when Hyeonju was at the nurses office. Then on the episode 1 finale, the Zombie boy just snarls at her and does not bite. Next, she can pull herself up the makeshift rope with Joonyoung which needs a LOT of arm strength despite the footholds. She then defends Namra (who Onjo said she didn't like at the time) when she got bit by Gwi Nam while Jimin and Hyoryeong's skeptical reactions are more realistic. Lastly, the mouse ignored Onjo's foot. They showed that for a reason. Anyhow, show was terrific and I can't wait for s2! A lot of plot devices are hard for Western audiences to get (video recording scene and Suhyeok/Namra tying their hands together were homages to real events at the Sewol Ferry disaster) but it was still really well done.
