Easily could've beat it. 2008 was his prime. Perfect health and perfect shape. He went there knowing he was going to win no matter what.
@RobertSmurda2 жыл бұрын
That's blatantly false. Look up "Usain Bolt 2008 vs. 2009 split times" -- you can see he slowed down by .07 with the showboating, meaning he would've ran 9.62. If you want further evidence, look at his 200m times in 2008 vs. 2009; he was clearly in better shape in 2009. His 2008 200m was 19.30, and his 2012 200m was 19.32, and he ran 9.62 in the 100m that year, so the numbers confirm each other.
@thecsciworker2912 жыл бұрын
@@RobertSmurda Exactly. The 200m is the only race you need to see that he was not on the same form in '08 vs '09. In '09, even after the accident, he was still be better form. He ran his heart out for both those 200m, and the time difference sums it all up.

Going off that, he wouldn't have been in 9.58 pace/fitness for this 100.. the chest pump on took off fractions, and not enough to drop it down by that much. 9.58 is whole different beast to 9.69-9.63. Alot of person don't realize that the difference between those two time groups is not just mere steps or waving the hand. That time is whole culmination of an effort placed over 100m. In other words, the difference between those times isn't what is done at the end, but everything starting from the beginning.

@@lyric.x763 Well considering the fact that Jamaicans take full advantage of the 3 miss rule is pretty suspicious. An athlete can miss 2 random drugs tests in a row without being suspended, but it is highly advised not to miss any. And practically every Jamaican athlete will miss 2 drug tests, then test for 1, then miss 2, then test for 1, highly suspicious. And the Jamaican “testing facility” was shown to be a storage shed. I’m not singling out the Jamaicans because every country does it, but you can’t honestly believe that a large country like the United States can’t beat Jamaicans while the Americans are cheating and the Jamaicans are clean. Another thing is that they can’t really come out and say that Bolt was cheating all this time because it would ruin the sport. And answer me this, why did the 2008 Jamaican Men’s 4x100m team get disqualified?

The 200m final run was incredible. Bolt was miles ahead of the competition.

Nobody was like Bolt when it comes to conserving energy. Obviously it helps to have his level of talent, but he never did too much in the earlier rounds. Always made sure to keep himself in the top 2 with little effort, then he had plenty of run in his legs to dominate the final

His 2nd round heat of the 100m is missing. I remember it well, he ran 9.92 and jogged the last 70m or so. When I was a kid 9.92 was the World Record, seeing him match it while almost walking the last 10m astounded me.

I don't know what's more enjoyable watching Bolt break World Records or watching him jog to victory lol love that guy

When I saw him jog 9.85, I knew the world was about to witness something they have never seen before! I still say and I don't care what anyone else says, he would have ran 9.48 if he would have just ran through the tape. When he ran 9.58 he wasn't even in the best shape of his life. Didn't train for two months due to an car accident. So imagine he would have ran through the tape, and didn't have that car accident! We would be looking at times that are so foreign and so out of reach, not to say there not but we will never know.

In 2008, Bolt ran 9.77 into a 1.3 headwind, with rainy and cold conditions and a trip at the start. That is like a high 9.4 at best!!!!!!!!!!

@@Madmax-cy9qx It will never be done in our lifetimes. They will have to make humans in a lab and give them the best drugs to run 9.4 I believe 9.58 will fall in the next 25 years. But someone running 9.49 or faster NO. Nobody over 21 today will ever live to see that.

We will never see another sprinter casually jog through the heats and semi finals, and set a world record even while slowing down to flex in the last 30m of a 100m final.

Just for the stats, Usain Ran 100m for 9.68 at a speed of 10.41 meters/sec (37.476 Km/Hr) in which he took almost 42 sprinting steps to complete his race so in each step, he covers a distance (average) of 2.38 meteres & in for each sec he took 4.33 sprinting steps. While in each sec he covered 10.33 meteres. I'm going insane while doing all of his calculations, and simply wondering how incredibly great he is.
