Another amazing video! You keep mentioning how much you learned from this trip - I'd love to see a video about the specific things you learned about hunting in the Mediterranean/hunting dentex etc. Most of the Med - specific spearfishing technique videos are either in Greek, or Italian, or Spanish (obviously) - it would be really cool to see some English content about the tricks of the trade you learned from various masters around the Med.

It is interesting that you need to dive so deep to shoot that small fish in Greece. Is that true for the entire Mediterranean? I think we are lucky here in Florida. Some people would not even shoot mangrove snapper or sheapsheads here while targeting large fish, those are comparable to Dentex size wise. We don't shoot barracudas at all, it is considered a trash fish here. Great video though.

It’s the situation in a lot of the Mediterranean although in some instances and conditions you can find larger fish in shallow water. Summer time is difficult in Greece with super warm water, rarely thermoclines and lots of boat traffic.

@@DanielMann lots of pressure on fish too probably, although we have lots of pressure here in South Florida. Places like Miami, Fort Lauderdale you need to dive really deep to shoot anything

European barracudas are very tasty and a prized fish in Greece. They cost around 14€ per kg at the fishmongers. It can be cooked with tomato sauce, in a soup, BBQ'd, fried, anything really. Greek barracudas (loutsos) are distinct due to a black stripe on their backs

It’s a humbling experience that’s for sure. I guess I just feel if there are more fish to be seen or if I’m wasting time. I guess you just get a sense of what is going to be productive. Yes, the water at shipwreck beach is insane.

Thanks Andy. I’ve used loads of different microphones as my previous job had a lot of gear. Things like the Shure SM7B and Sennheiser 416 which are industry stand mics. Currently I use my Sony top mic on my A7S3 but for this video I used a new DJI mic which I’m loving. Great sound and so simple to use.

Depends on the thickness of the suit and body type. If you completely exhale on the surface and stay still your head should stay on the surface and not sink.
