EDIT: The training time numbers you see were taken directly from the game, and are *_not_* bugged. I spoke with a Dev, and he mentioned that "The bonus is "production is 60% faster", not "train time is reduced by 60%. The latter would induce a production increase of +150%". In other words, the numbers you see on my chart are correct! I will explore the Malian Landmarks next, followed by an analysis of the upcoming patch notes for October - it's a long one! 4:08 This castle is real. Kilitbahir Castle is a fortress on the west side of the Dardanelles, opposite the city of Çanakkale, where there is a corresponding fortress (Kale-i Sultaniye), from which Çanakkale takes its name. The two castles were constructed by Fatih Sultan Mehmet in 1463 to control the straits at their narrowest point. Kilitbahir's name, meaning "lock of the sea", reflects this defensive purpose.

1:50 You make a mistake here, saying that: "3 free upgrades per age". The Council system only requires one technology from the previous "tier" to unlock the next one. it is even visible on the video in 1:55: "Requirements: Requires level 1 Imperial Council Upgrade", with no mentioning of an age requirement. I'm sure you just overlooked it, while trying to rush out such a high-quality video for us as always. Love your content.

4:42 This Sultan Ahmed Mosque was built between 1609 and 1617 by the Ottoman Sultan Ahmed I on the historical peninsula in Istanbul, by Architect Sedefkar Mehmed Ağa. Because the mosque is adorned with blue, green and white colored Iznik tiles, and the half domes and the inside of the big dome are also decorated with blue-grained hand-drawn works, it was named as the Azure Mosque by the Europeans.

and for who wonders the real images of these landmarks here i am typing the turkish names of them; twin minaret medresa- çift minareli medrese (erzurum) we also have some similar one located in sivas. sultanhani trade network - sultan hanı (aksaray) istanbul imperial palace - Topkapı sarayı (since topkapı palace is a big structure devs choose to modelling just the "enderun" part of it. so you can type "Topkapı Sarayı Enderun Avlusu" for the structure and for the tower you can type "Topkapı Sarayı Adalet Kulesi" it means "tower of justice" Mehmet Imperial Armory - Tophane. But since Tophane also referres to the district which it belongs you can type "Tophane Binası" for better results. Istanbul Observatory - Unfortunately u cant find this one. It was called "Istanbul Rasathanesi" It was demolished by the Sultan cuz some obscurantist mfs made a uprising for it and said that "they are peeking angels legs inside that structure". So fucking sultan decided to demolish it with fucking bombardment ships. "sigh" Sea Gate Castle - Kilitbahir Kalesi. One of my favorite. Located in dardanelles- çanakkale Azure Mosque - Blue Mosque or Sultan Ahmet Camii

I didn't expect this one is similar mechanics with aoe3 ottomans. Of course 2 landmark option make variety of gameplay but creating siege unit free and increasing production rate almost similar to aoe3 ottoman. Also trade network landmark (it may refer to kervansaray in turkish) is similar to silk road card in aoe3 ottoman home city cards if you invest in trade. By the way for those who interest about wonder, azure mosque is similar to blue mosque in real (sultan ahmet mosque in turkish name) Since azure is a type of blue, it may be valid but i haven't heard it. Maybe hall in the model is smaller than real, they wanted to use different but related name.

It's pretty easy to permanently upkeep the trade aura even sometimes on water, since A) the aura range is very big and more importantly B) the aura last for 20s. You probably know that by now, but it highlights a very big problem of AoE4 that isn't much talked about: their description is some of the worst ones I've ever seen. There are always tons of information missing and since it's hard coded aka someone just made a string instead of getting the values from the code itself, there are sometimes wrong and/or outdated values. They just should make it like LoL and Dota2 do, an interactive description that gets its value from the code itself, maybe even colour code stuff like melee DMG is red, range blue and so on, and if you press alt (or if they want another key bind) you get an advanced description with even more details and values.

Hey, I see you were able to access the game in the PUP right? How did you solve the problem of crashes?, for me it is being a headache.

It's a different issue for everyone - see if closing the NVIDIA Web Helper process from the Task Manager works for you. Otherwise, it's going to be a trial and error of closing down non-critical apps/processes to see which is causing the issue. That said, you can also sit tight - the devs told me that they are going to be releasing a patch soon (for the PUP) to help players with crashing problems!

@@AgeofNoob Oh yes tx, it seems that it was that NVIDIA process, sadly that disables NVIDIA FreeStyle for me, then I tried to try Reshade as an alternative and it crashes again, it looks like they messed up something so that filters can't be used in the game :(

Im very curious about trade landmark . 28 gold per minute so max 168 gold per minute. I think its better to send your traders to trade center-market instead of putting them inside since 168 gold is pretty low

I think it's meant to be passive gold until a point. once you can defend a trade route, transitioning into trade is easier since you can just pop them out. before you can defend it, I imagine them being alive and providing secure passive gold is fine. at this point I am thinking berries is just better for food security in early game.

i hope by october 25th the ottoman units will be strengthened. no special unit is comparatively stronger than the unit of the other races. the sipahi have a special ability but are ultimately worse than the other horsemans because many peoples still have 20% more cavalry tp. if we compare it with English longbows which also have several special abilities they are still better than normal archers. same with the French knights. I don't want to talk about the janissaries, it's really outrageous to make them even weaker than normal handgun shooters. The unit that was the strongest of its time is sort of like a unit made for losing in the game...

@@faziruddin they tend to avoid using the same name as the real-life counterpart, I think it's just a stylistic choice. Azure is a stand-in for the "Blue" in "Blue Mosque", the popular name for the Sultan Ahmed Mosque.

Ottoman 40 % speed Buff + traders seems like the strongest late late game.

Nah In term of pure gold the mailian seem stronger with a 50% ressource bonus. In term of ressource overall I think the english or the mongol produce more.

Plus 40% gold from the vizier system. The ottomans are the best fro trading. They will make more gold/min with the help of 40% speed. Edit: so basically 80% more gold per minute

Idk why they're not using the historical names, to call Sultan Ahmet Mosque the "Azure mosque" is kinda bad, idk. I hate that honestly, but why is Topkapi Palace called the Istanbul Imperial Palace? Topkapi just means "cannon-gate" so it's not like it's culturally insensitive or something. That is some misinformation spread there. I think it was never called ofcially islambul.

Istanbul was Constantinopel, a part of the Easter Roman Empire/Byzantium. The Ottomans conquered it, this is why Turkey is nowadays still considered a part of Europe even tough they adapted to Islamic culture. There's a Turkish action movie about it as well, Fetih 1453 is the name. (It's decent if your into medieval history)
