She had it, she didn't need to eat that damage at the end from Murph. Could have just killed them before combat damage happens. She just chose to throw because she didn't want to win so decisively for the show's sake. Not that I agree with that, but that's how they roll sometimes.

Fun interactions in the later part of the game, and happy to see Rin & Seri on the table (I was watching this episode with my cat). I find a bit sad though that in modern Commander it is becoming the norm that 1-2 players at the table have not the chance to do pretty much anything relevant as 1-2 other decks have already gone off around T5.

I have been racking my brain because there had to be a win on board for voxy. I think this works: Sac jarad to prosh, prosh becomes a 6 power creature. Use jarad ability (after floating the mana) to put him back in hand. Play him again with 4 of the now 12 floating mana. sac the 10 kobolds to make prosh a 16 power creature. Sac prosh to jarad draining for 16 gg

On the final turn she could've sacrificed all the kobolds to Prossh, giving Prossh +4/+0 (making it (9/5), then sac Prossh to Jarad (she had a swamp and 2 forests open) and deal 9 to Ashlen before combat wouldve even happened

Ultimate climax for me was when Ashlyn played cryptolith rite and Voxy topped that with earthcraft. Earthcraft is easily one of my favorite magic cards. I'm glad I bought a playset 20years ago, that card is really expensive now.

That was a pretty fun watch. Excellent players and production as always. The power levels of what was going on definitely felt a little lopsided. Obviously 100 card singleton variance plays a part and Josh and Jake did have some impact on the game but it looked like they were playing good midrange/engine decks against a powerful combo deck and a very highly tuned and fast tribal deck. It didn't hurt the episode and I wouldn't call that a criticism. Power levels are not an exact science and obviously mismatches can happen.

So there is a mistake at 17:40 . As the player who passes priority first, you need to hold priority to use earthcraft. Because you clearly gain information, you should not be able to do that afterwards. (loosing potential blockers could be a huge issue)

Ashelen is just to soon to say no ( or josh question is wrong) he asks after his trigger resolves wether anyone had any responses, since the first thing on the stack is now the spell yes voxy should respond first but she can't help that ashlen responds first. To be clear, what happened was: she cast a spell, passes priority, josh activated his ability ( gets priority before it resolves but passes and no one uses it) the ability resolves voxy gets priority ( again), but josh asks if anyone has any responses, alshrn says no hut technically josh should have asked voxy cus she has priority at that point. Arguably at 16:45 josh is to fast too saying he has a response before body and Jake passed priority. Holding priority isn't something you can actually do IRL it's just something people say to be more clear that they have a response to their own spell or trigger. But it's on other players to make sure that priority has been passed before responding. You do t have to announce that you hold priority, you get it automatically after casting a spell.
