In a sense, both the serpent and Rykard got what they wanted - a win-win situation. If I recall, Rykard wanted to be one with the Serpent as a method of immortality on top of being able to join forces with an entity that could rival the Erdtree. Another thing to consider is that the serpent was the size of a normal python when it ate Rykard. The Great Serpent's power seems very much based in its immortality and ability to grow. Give it long enough, and it would theoretically surpass the other deific beings of Elden Ring. Rykard was basically a growth pill, and what he got in exchange was immortality. It does beg the question whether the trade was really worth it, especially considering Rykard's... less than fragile mental state, but they did both get exactly what they wanted. Hurray for symbiosis?

Godfrey vs. Hoarah Loux was super tense and down to the wire. I loved how they tactically interrupted each other's eruption moves in the nick of time. The God-Devouring Serpent lasted longer against the higher stats of its Rykard-using self than I expected. Gurranq really should have tried his knife combos, maybe they could have staggered Maliketh. The Malenia fight was surprisingly close and quite the treat. Thanks, Bjorn!

Loved how the Fire Giant phases were both evenly matched the whole time, then they started throwing fire at each other and dealing no damage in the process. In fact, I love how many of these are quite even, even Malenia phase 1 could have beaten phase 2 at that last moment if she used one of her combos. Also, people, remember, if you beat Radagon, the easier phase comes afterwards.

It's likely because, while both of them have crazy high holy damage resist, Radagon actually mixes up physical and holy attacks fairly evenly while Elden Beast spams holy attacks and rarely actually swings its physical attack sword for normal attacking (almost every attack it does using the sword is to spam more holy attacks). You can just facetank Elden Beast and beat it with very little effort with Divine Lord's Fortification, but that won't save you so hard if you try that on Radagon (it helps, but not against those hammer smacks to the face).

It's funny to see how Radagon and the Beast of Elden do almost no damage to each other, both attack each other with holy damage and both are 100% immune to holy damage, they literally only can dealt damage to each other from the physical impact of the attacks and not because of the holy damage with which those same attacks are reinforced, seeing how the rain of golden lightning from the elden beast did practically nothing to Radagon when that is an attack that always kills the player if we receives everything was really satisfying because we all hate that attack.

I always thought that Radagon was harder than the Elden Beast. He felt like a true final boss to me. Elden Beast was fine, but was so annoying when it continuously ran away. Radagon was methodical, fast, strong. A presence of sheer power. He never ran, just evaded. Closed the gap, pressed his advantage when you didn't stand your ground. I wield his hammer with pride.

Godfrey vs. Hoarah Loux was actually pretty close, that was cool. Rykard using his Taker’s Flames finisher was fucking badass. Melania vs. Melania was very interesting, they felt very equally matched, the goddess version just has more moves to beat blade version with. Then the king consort CHADagon beats the fuck outta elden beast and breaks free from the greater will, what a beast. Wish he got a phase two and elden beast was separate, but honestly hes such a damn good fight as-is. He has insane holy res, so the only time eb did considerable damage was when it decided to actually use its sword. Radagon’s javelin though does crazy poise, so even with eb resisting the damage, it gave radagon a lot of melee windows, and his ranged attacks are generally just faster as well.

Hey man, do a Gideon and his posse (Nepheli, Ensha and the Omen Killer) vs all bosses. To see if Gideon would be able to take the Elden Throne had Nepheli followed him and his nepharious ways, and Ensha had managed to defeat the Tarnished lol
