I would like to point out that the M109A7 Iron Thunder is the next gen US Army 155mm SPA (Self Propelled Artillery) solution. It uses ROCKET ASSISTED PROJECTILES (RAP's) as well as PGM (Precision Guided Munitions). With the RAP rounds and the extended barrel length it has a fire range of about 58KM. Couple that with the new autoloader system and you get about 10 rounds per minute out of it allowing it to do MRSI (Multiple Rounds Simultaneous Impact), which CAN be used in conjunction with PGM's and designators to simultaneously destroy up to 6 targets at once in a single volley. By the time the rounds have impacted the target at 50km the M109A7 would already be configured for moving, allowing it to keep with the high mobility artillery doctrine of the US Military.

RAP Rounds are nothing new, they've been in our inventory for along while. Even the 105mm Towed Howitzer has RAP Rounds. The RAP rounds are just not that often used. You also have Excalibur rounds, which also have increased range

would love to see engineer squads being able to put done defensive fortifications like trenches, sandbag bunkers, razor wire, etc. i think it would give troops more survivability and playability. Ive been loving the playtest tho defintly been scratching that wargame itch lately

Yeah, I 100% agree. I like playing infantry, so I was a little disappointed with how weak they are to artillery, even when they're in large buildings/tower blocks. I think it's currently a little too easy to decimate them when they're garrisoned in those kind of large buildings, even using relatively small stuff like 120mm mortars/artillery; if they're in a small house, that's one thing, but a tower block should offer more resistance than they currently do. I think a fair compromise would be for targeted infantry to take an accuracy/reaction/spotting/reload rate hit when being shelled, whilst not taking as much direct damage.

26:00 We have the F/A-18C and D models in game right now which are the legacy hornets. The F/A-18E and F variants are the super hornets.

Oh my goodness... This is what we've been waiting for.. a modern strategy game like this with such customizations. I wonder if they would add other areas of warfare in this like mines, mine clearing and mine laying vehicles, loitering munitions and fpv operators, electronic warfare from ground and air based platforms, counter battery, trench building and also warfare, suicide vehicles, autonomous robots, and an even bigger map to exploit flanking maneuvers properly... So much potential 😌 I hope they succeed

Mines and trenches sound terrible. This is a game, it's meant to look realistic, yes, not be real life. It's also supposed to be enjoyable to play, I cannot see myself having the time of my life clearing minefields while the enemy snipes my minesweepers from afar... Suicide bombers will never been greenlighted because there were several terrorists strikes in Europe the last 10 years... Not worth the risk. The rest I can see them being implemented some time in the future

@@dimitrisoikonomou3568I disagree, I think most of those suggestions would be interesting additions to the game, as long as the developers managed to balance them. Also, your point about "suicide bombers" makes no sense - what risk? Are you saying someone is going to become radicalised playing an *RTS game* ? My friend, I don't think most players are competitive to that extent 😂

Remember many things we see now weren't always there, fog of war, stealth, resupply and logistics not resource building, even mini maps but now these things make rts games more interesting.. and I said suicide vehicles and autonomous robots with one task at hand.. to dislodged the enemy from well fortified areas if they can get there of course 😌

@@tomfahey2823 There was a game called Command and Conquer Generals that had a faction called Global Liberation Army that consisted of Arab "freedom fighters". Believe it or not, several modders that have brought this 2003 game up to date avoid using the terminology "terrorists" (actual unit name) on their mod. There are many people/organisations that use game footage for propaganda (even Turkey has used Arma footage for supposed strikes against PKK terrorists). Broken Arrow will surely be (ab)used by said groups. I see no reason a game dev would go out of their way to get in so much trouble for just one unit especially when people lose their shit over mods on 20 year old games that count less than 500 active people annually... (Again I am referring to maned suicide units, not loitering munitions or suicide drones. This is my opinion and the devs can do as they please, but it doesn't make any sense from a business standpoint...)

I really hope there are options to limit games to not have nukes available. I don’t want to have to strategize around the enemy potentially dropping a friggen nuke.

At 1:55 - That's not the Kh-47M2 Kinzhal (it lacks wings like that), it's a Kh-32 supersonic long range cruise missile.

Any news regarding game modes? Right now it doesn't really matter how long you hold points, only who has the most during the end or who captures all of them... I think World in Conflict did it better in that regard... Also, the support from said game was huge for its time, maybe they could have very strong off maps here as well...

TOS-2 is already in game, u can wiew it in the arsenal just cant select it into your loadout, same as MLRS "Karma"

I think that Tu-22 missile is actually a Kh-22 antiship missile. Kinzhal doesn't have those large wings from photos released.

The MLRS at 39:00 looks like a German LARS / LARS 2. When i think about the scenario of the demo mission; german and other NATO Nations units would be no surprise

the missile under the TU22 is actually either a kh32 cruise missile, or a kh22 anti ship missile considering that navy will be added in the future some time. but it is most likely not a kinzhal missile. but i still do hope they add the kinzhal

NoiceGuy, when you showed the US speclization, that is US Airborne. I believe Air Assault is a helicopter instead of a parachute.

I think you're right. Somewhat confusingly, the 101st Airborne is designated as an Air Assault division, however I think that's because they follow an Air Assault doctrine nowadays, despite the historical name.

i think theyll add Nato for european forces. i also hope they will change the ranges of a lot of the units so its more equal to reality. obv we would need bigger maps for that but it would be great actualy hiding units and do more flanking

I feel like there's a ton of Russian prototypes. You can't find an AK12 anywhere in the Russian military because they cancelled it - but the regular inf in Broken Arrow carry it. There ar emore T-55s and T-62 in frontline use in Ukraine than T-90AMs, but you don't get any of them the old tanks on Broken Arrow. There's SU57s, 2S35s, Armata series vehicles...none of which are in use in Russia officially but they're all in the game. The Bumerang... wtf is that? Why is Russian artillery in the game focused more on precision fires and has better precision and range stats than the US artillery. Russian artillery is about mass, not precision. At the same time, the USMC gets Harriers - of which the last squadron was recently deactivated as the Corps switches to F35s. There are M1A1s, which the US doesn't field anymore. Actually the Marines don't even have any tank units anymore - they got rid of them to invest in more HIMARS and planes but I can see for balance purposes. Still will the Abrams X/M1E3 be in the US Armored to blance the T-14? And a Sheridan? You mean the tank we have't used since 1991. Let's see an M10 Booker - the new tank being tested for Airborne units. The Marine inf in the game carries Dragon ATGMs and LAWs which they havent used since the late 90s - they have Javelins now. And where is the XM7 6.8mm rifle? Drones, spotting, ISR capabilities...more expensive but fewer units vs Russia's spam...thats all missing. It's incredibly hard to win as the US in the beta.

Dont cry bro, but we are using AK-12 from the start of SMO(from start of its production, but of course you will never see it, if you blind), T-90M used a lot, T-62 and T-55 are only a armoured artillery units. 2S35 are in mass production now, 2S19 are more in use, but if we gonna see 2S19M2 this will be really similar to 2S35. T-14 are not mass, there are like less 50 of them, but this is still a number, you can only bring 2 of them in BA anyway. If you cant win with US right (I am russian and i love HIMARS), you have skill issue

Where do you get your information? AK-12 wasnt cancelled, the most used tanks by Russia are by far T-72s and T-80s, "Russian artillery is imprecise" is also a myth

well good news my friend we do have M60s and T-80Bs which can be upgraded to the BVM sadly no T-64 since there not used anymore by russia most reserves are old T-72s

they need to fix the matchmaking/ auto join before anything. You either get 5 people in a matter of seconds of spend the entire night with a bugged out lobby showing 4/5 players but 5 people are in the lobby, or you see no players but it says 5/5 or it will show 4 people with one available but it will say 6/5. I havent been able to play in days because of these issues that literally havent gone away.

Thats the entire point of the beta currently is the networking so work in progress. They planned for 5k people and it sounds/looks like 30k+ are interested.

I can't wait for full release of it, it's gonna be big so much more interesting to me than WARNO and I like it, just tired of Eugen Games and stale formula. But Modern Warfare, Cargo Planes, Air Drop, Heavy and Strategic bombers is just something amazing. Also Tu-95/B-52 are definitely Tactical Nukes/Carpet Bombers since former was in Demo .
