Sunn, thank you so much for bringing attention to what’s been happening in the Congo. Your feelings about Panafricanism, relative to unification either as a union of states Iike the U.S. or a political/economic alliance such as the EU? What are your feelings about the diaspora being a part of that, supporters or active members / citizens? SadIy the majority of my African friends don’t see us, particularly in America, as being “African.” 🙏🏾❤️✌🏾

An economic alliance is what I see as the most likely and easiest way forward. A Pan-Afrikan alliance would have to include all of us, in my humble opinion. On your last statement, I've heard that from all sides. I'm with the professor, "I love me some us" and I work to build community with all of us. I don't let them stop me from putting in the work. ✌️ ❤

Thank you, I have two sons that are in the young adult age range. I cannot imagine myself ever delivering such a great message with such intelligence, empathy and class, so I'm not going to try. Instead we will all watch you deliver it tonight and let that start a conversation. Thank you again, not just for this but for many things. I am a fifty year old white farm boy from a small town in the foothills of your home state. Was raised by good folk who believe in equality in an area that hasn't always embodied that ideal. Try to live up to those ideals myself but we all have issues we are unaware of. Your videos have opened mine and my family's eyes to things we simply did not see the harm of and made us better for it. All we can do is be better today than yesterday and you have helped me and the ones I love do that. I am truly grateful.

Bravo! Magnificent speech! I am impressed by your words, and your courage in saying those words publicly. In my country « wokeness » has become a sin. Racist/ sexist/ classist media, slaves to a handful of ultra rich, managed to tarnish the word beyond recognition. They are afraid of the convergence of struggles, because they know it will be the end of their reign. Your speech shows what being « woke » looks like, in the noblest sense of the word. Thank you❤

Best wishes to all these grads and their futures, especially to the ones who will live as Americans. For many, their time in America is coming to an end, not because they want to go but because the doors are closing. I wish that those who stay could build the country the Bill of Rights envisioned but never deliver. Let there be a huge country where people matter, where differences are not lethal, where opportunity comes in the same package as breathing. There's just no point in building any other kind of life. Peace to people of good will.

I always enjoy your videos, so this sort of speech is amazing to watch. I am not black but hope that I am a good enough ally from where I am. I am in school to try and become a teacher, so hopefully I can spread history and accurate understanding, something I often see you do. Hopefully I can live up to true allies such as John Brown.
