They weren’t. It’s just that they had two other competing series (Clash of Ninja on Nintendo consoles and Ubisoft Naruto games on Microsoft). So they needed to put effort into making their game unique and interesting. Clash of Ninja always was considered the better fighter. So Ultimate Ninja had to get creative in other ways. When Storm came into the picture, it dominated at first due to the graphics and overall remaster. But when they lost competition post Storm 2, they got incredibly lazy and half-assed about everything, hence how Storm Connections monstrosity was born. 😒 We need another Clash of Ninja game.

I always hated how both Tsunade nor Sakura were written to incorporate Chakra scalpel into their active ninjutsu arsenals, only using the jutsu in medical work. The Byakugou Seal super-charging the jutsu was a big missed opportunity along with infusing it with other chakra natures.

I always loved the dynamic cinematography of these games. For example, the shots at: - 3:30 : A Big Shot, Zoom in, Camera Shaking. - 4:01 : This whole Ultimate. Fade-Ins and Fade-Outs, Sliding transitions, Camera shots, Dynamic Poses. Its the most underrated part of this franchise. More Games should do stuff like these.

We need new characters throughout the series not 8 copies of naruto and sasuke, the hype the game could've held if we had Doto, Pakura, random seven ninja swordsman and other ninja in the game would be god like.

It was really common for content to be removed from games like Naruto at the time because the Western/International audience was also behind with the anime airing.

Not to mention being able to change Jutsu. In these games you can give Naruto the Chidori or give Sasuke mud wall or fang over fang and dynamic entry etc etc. there was a lot more variation in jutsu and you could give em to characters that couldn't use em.

Lol Storm 3 is infamous for having a non-canon ending to its story mode because the anime hadn't finished the Great Ninja War Arc. Plus Doto was a promotional character to market the movie. There wouldn't be a purpose to market a character for a product that doesn't yet exist for that audience.

1:28 The developers made the right choice removing this version of Nine Tailed Naruto. This variant is by far the worst we’ve seen in all of the Naruto games. His moveset is a call back to Ultimate Ninja 1, his primary color scheme is legit just an alternate color scheme in Ultimate Ninja 1. And the only ultimate jutsu that changes is his 3rd one. Overall, this version just feels like Base Form Naruto before he learned the Rasengan but with an incorrect color scheme. Might I add, his name is spelled “Nine Tailed”. The biggest downgrade from UN1 who had a much better version. Why not just give as the UN1 variant and then have his ult just be a power up like they did with Sealed Orochimaru??

That Naruto existed primarily as an "extra" character for the international audience in UN1 because for some reason they thought it was a spoiler to have Naruto immediately accessible with the Nine-Tails power he would use on Neji in the Chunin Exams. That arc hadn't yet aired to an international audience. So he shouldn't have existed in the first place.

@@AK-MS27 Eeeh, Byuakugan Hinata is alright. I wouldn't say she's "unneeded", she had her own unique moveset which was good enough that they reused it in Ultimate Ninja 3 for regular Hinata and her jutsu were pretty cool, definitely better than Nine Tailed Naruto who felt half-assed.

I also think Taijutsu Naruto is straight garbage for the same reasons why I think Nine Tailed Naruto is garbage since they basically reused Lee's moveset and jutsu and called it a day. The only worthwhile characters that we never saw again with unique moves were Sealed Orochimaru, Anbu Kakashi and Byakugan Hinata. At least Anbu Kakashi came back for Ultimate Ninja 3 with an actual ultimate this time.
