I think Lazarus is the most forgettable isaac character and the most hard and boring tainted character. One easy way of making him better is making the flip active item take less time to be active. Like 4 charges because on the bible Lazarus took 4 days to revive? Or make him flip every floor instead of every room and you can only flip with the active once or twice on a run.

In a void Azazel is actually busted at the start of the game, then you better hope you got a good run because fighting late game bosses as him is hellish. I have gotten all the hard mode completion marks as Azazel and I can tell you this as a fact. Plus he's just ok when it comes to fun terms. I haven't played enough Lilith to know how good she is, all I know is I unlocked that Tainted version of her and while I played her I thought she was just ok. Maybe not D tier, but certainly around the C tier. To be fair, a lot of characters can be strong while ignoring the first two items rooms. Both versions of Judas, Both versions of Cain, and Both versions of Samson are good examples. I think most people like Azazel for the flight he gets as well as the ease of early game. Plus, who doesn't like playing a demon? Azazel is one of the first few characters that's unlocked and it has a special place in many people's hearts for that reason. Sorry for the hyper-analysis.

@@wicksenn The benefits of Azazel are unquestionable. Flight, speed, strength, and black hearts ensure he can easily win the arms race to get good resources and devil/angel rooms. It’s just that the range thing is so crippling and range extending stuff is just not as common or beneficial. Good builds for him are so specific too due to the limited amount of brimstone synergies. At least some things are better for him than others like ludovico

I 100% agree with you mate, but I do not like lilith for many reasons. Cambion conception is a very weird item (not useful at all if you ask me). She is a blindfold character, ik she has incubus to deal damage, but incubus doesn't follow you perfectly and have blind spots in some kind of rooms. Box of friends is amazing and at the same time is bad: you don't really want to switch the item for another one, but at the same time it feels like it doesn't work enough (you need way more familiars to make it broken). I mean, I do not believe lilith is shit...but I also agree with sinvicta on that; i don't like her

People say Tainted Cain is a chore to look up all the items in the wiki... but you can just not do that. Once you know the rules (certain consumables are worth more than others, certain influence the types of items you craft) the Bag of Crafting is like an infinite use D6 that you can influence the results of. I have way more fun just crafting things randomly as I go.

I think Lilith can be a little higher. I don't like how Box of friends isn't a Q active and how she shoots, but she does have cambion conception. I honestly love being able to get multiple devil room familiars for free. It's very strong if you purposefully take damage from like blood machines and stuff.

Forgotten and tainted forgotten are just so damn fun. I can’t get enough of them. Base eve is bottom tier and a nightmare to play, but once you unlock the self-damage tool from greed machine and she starts with it she becomes really fun. Cain is S tier, I can’t remember the last time I DIDN’T win a run with him. Lilith is really powerful if you have a lot of familiars, and she’s by far the easiest character for Greedier runs. Azazel is busted at the start of the game, but for late game bosses and floors he’s hell without good synergies.

Imo there's a lot to hate about Samson. His starting item bloody lust is just plain bad kinda. Of course, you get more damage when you get hit which will make you powerful, however, that will also most like mean that you won't be able to utilise that if you want a devil/angel deal, unless you get a metric fuckton of soul/black hearts EVERY floor (to stress it more, 6 hits is max for bloody lust, meaning you need 3 soulhearts every floor and then not get hit afterwards to get maximum effect). I get that it can be useful but it's just not better than getting a godhead, sacred heart, eye of belial or death's scythe, honestly. In games like these, it's always better to opt for things that don't require you to get hit and samson literally builds on getting hit.

I'd say tainted apollyon is better than regular one because you at least have a guarantee of what you're getting,which is basically a multiplier of your damage,instead of having to pray to get tears or damage.also,you can abyss any active item,but you have to be careful which actives you void.I will say the flies can be less useful in bigger rooms,like boss rush or specially delirium

I for one find Tainted Jacob an interesting challenge, Dark Esau is pretty easy to dodge and you can use him to kill enemies and bosses if you have good reflexes

t apollyon is a super good character imo, being able to sack any item for a DPS upgrade is really useful, plus if you get birthright it'll mean your locusts permanently glue themselves to whatever they hit so long as you're holding the fire key (which you can rig to focus entirely on dodging)

For the most part, I like this tier list, but here are the few things I disagree with: Cain belongs higher, I think you underrate the power of his starting stats and especially of all good pills. Not enjoying Tainted Cain is perfectly fair, but he's objectively S tier. By caves you can have gnawed leaf, sac dagger, and daddy longlegs, and at that point losing is hardly even possible. Plus you can craft mama mega pretty easily, or R key, or clicker. I think the fairest placement would be B tier to average your opinion and the objective one, but even then, it's a bigger bias from your opinion than almost any other character. I also think tainted Jacob might be objectively good because of how much damage Dark Esau does to enemies, but I don't have enough experience on him to really say. I don't really mind your placement on this one, but I think Tainted Keeper could be a little lower. It's actually really easy to die IMO. Maybe you're just better than me at him but I find that tons of bosses and some other enemies can easily two-tap you and finish you off. This happened to me on Mega Stan but I survived only because of holy mantle. The sheer quantity of items you get is very nice but having only 2 hearts vs normal keeper's 3 is actually massive. I do agree that he's strong, I would say A tier personally. Also, you forgot that Lost no longer loses holy mantle when he rerolls with the D4, although it obviously doesn't matter since he doesn't start with it.

My personal changes to this list. - Keeper to A tier I love the keeper changes. 3 hp, buyable devil deals was just what he needed to be a fun character while still being challenging. - Azazel to B tier He's a good character but the short range brimstone is something I'm not a fan of. - T. Cain to S tier Fun, enough said. - Cain to A tier I love Cain, the buff to Luck foot with all positive pills is a massive buff to an already strong character. - Lilith to C tier Lilith has a few items to turn her from weird to play and generally awkward, to stupidly strong and natural feeling. BFFs and Duct Tape are a few that can make her good. - Forgotten to B tier I'm not a fan of melee combat without the ability of regening health - T. Samson to B tier The annoyance of Berserk activating constantly drags him down in later floors - The Lost to D tier The Holy Mantle nerf was a massive nerf to him. The amount of double taps, from almost no i-frames is too much. The Eternal D6 ALWAYS deletes the rerolled items 70% of the time it seems like. A nerf to an already difficult to play character.

9:00 Not sure what you mean. Tainted Eden loses heart containers, if HP up items get re-rolled. It's a big problem if you have a lot of soul hearts, then you roll into a lot of heart containers (which replace excess soul hearts) and then you lose them after getting hit again. HP from sources other than items is permanent, though (soul/black hearts, heart containers from eternal hearts or Empty Heart as well, I believe, since it's not a direct HP up).

Day 2.5 of fixing items. As another video. Bot fly. It's decent. But it feels kinda boring. And it's just a worst psy fly It now has 2 modes. You can switch these modes by shooting it. Defend: It still shoots shielded tears. If a enemy runs to close to you he will shoot a knock back shot. This has a 5 second cool down. Attack: They shoot mini rockets at enemy's. Rockets do 10 damage. With a little splash effect. They shoots every 5 seconds. And now they have blades coming out of there sprite. So now they do alot of contact damage.

I think that T-Judas is S tier. Maybe not as good as normal Judas, but he’s so incredibly strong. The dark arts cool down is made up for by the huge damage boost you can get from in while you wait. Also, I think that Cain should be a tier higher, but that might just be me. Definitely agree with most other choices.
