VZ61 is a most accurate machine gun. It is good weapon for quick stun+melee strategy. Handguns take longer time to aim, while VZ61 is quicker. +It has more chance for critical head shot. P. S. I prefer to use it over handguns.

Little added thing about the electric rounds, they and the stun rod do a lot of damage to plaga enemies, instantly stun all plaga and reapers and one arditional shot exposes the big reaper weakpoint. So slept on.

I gotta disagree with the absolute disrespect of the Gatling gun. I'll admit the gun itself isn't spectacular, but that backpack actually provides a surprising amount of armor from the back which saved my skin in the 7 minute Wesker fight on solo professional.

Most normal attacks just go through it, but it does help for things that only impact once and have its hitboxes disabled (like bullets and flying melee weapons), and also grabs from behind (probably because they can't get close enough for it to connect lol)

I disagree between the dragunov and the HK placement. In professional mode, the HK rifle is one of the best guns because you can maintain distance and score headshots (top 5 in my opinion, especially if you want S rank). I love the dragunov, but it suffers from the same thing as the AK-47. The aim shakes like Chris has coke withdrawals or something. Meanwhile the HK rifle is more steady when aiming. The both eclipse the bolt action rifle though..

All weapons are good no matter what stats they have because you always have kung fu to back up all the weapons with most of the enemies but I personally prefer the M3 for its range and the starting pistol without any upgrades bc I like using the melee system

When using the nitrogen Rounds in Mercenaries mode, just kick the enemies. You’ll get extra time that way and it’s a little faster.

I apologize if I come off as 🤓WELL ACKSHUALLY🤓 lol. This isnt a shot at the video in anyway I feel like with a melee based playstyle or more Mercs related, a lot of these placements would be very different. IMO, The VZ61 and M92F would go much higher due to their high ammo counts. The melees will do the killing for you so the low damage wont matter 😅. Jill's pistol definitely wouldn't crack top 10 because the constant crits is very bad in mercs.

Shocks me that you put in the Ithaca at the bottom since it seems like a reliable gun. At least for me since the ammo lets you do crowd control and can help in some instances where you may need a bit of defense on early game. Granted, I haven't used all the guns, but the Ithaca is a decent early game gun.

Thing you should mention about the minigun, despite its real life counterpart having a whopping 6k rounds per minute, it fires slower than some of the handguns in the game. Not to mention they gave it slow as shit projectiles too. Great video though, you should do RE4's weapons or maybe Village's

Great video!!! I love this game so much. Also, I adore the P8 :( seeing it so low hurts my soul (I’m also a weirdo who loves the Punisher in RE4.) It has the fastest reload speed, a very punchy firing sound, and the penetration effect is semi-useful. I also really like the pistol it’s based on, so I’m biased. I know the P8 is objectively not the best handgun, but I will always swear by it. I buy it as soon as I can!!!!

The stun rod is my favorite weapon, it's like the knife on RE4 on steroids. It does great damage, prevents enemies from mutating, one shots enemies that mutate and goes through metal armor and shields. I use that thing all the time. Just stun an enemy with a shot from a machine gun or a pistol, or even the shotgun, equip the stun rod and then go to town.

Everything is your preference but I think you're wrong about the snipers. The Dragonov sucks with its sway but the PSG has the best zoom. The bolt action, however, is my go to. Damage is great, cycling feels good, you don't need to really spam the sniper anyway, and it does more damage. PSG if you REALLY can't play with a bolt action, never use the Dragonov, Bolt Action always.

I'd actually argue against Jill's Handgun because while it can 1 shot most basic enemies, it's a Mercs exclusive, and you want to be killing enemies with melee attacks in Mercs for the extra time (leftover time gets added to your total score if you kill 150 enemies), especially with Jill, as her melee flow can stack insane time bonuses, making it a bit of a noob trap. Maybe it's better against the Wetlands Majini because they tend to get up right away, but for Town and Base Majini, you're far better off doing the Leg shot/Rear melee/Double Leg Drop on downed enemies combo. If it was available in the base game, it would definitely be Stier. But not only is it Mercs exclusive, it's also locked to one of the best melee characters in the game mode (the other being Wesker), which hurts it. TLDR: great gun on paper but runs contrary to the gameplay of the mode it's locked to.

If you knew how to make use of hand to hand attacks, meaning if you were actually good at this game, you'd have ranked the M92F much higher. It's a top 5 weapon if you aren't garbage at the game. Also, if you think the Dragunov and PSG-1 are interchangeable you're crazy. The PSG-1 has a better scope that can zoom in farther and the aim wavers the least put of all the rifles, it's vastly superior to the Dragunov.

Armor piercing is kinda a weak ability since it really only shows use when the tribal majini are around. The m92f is actually pretty good as a back up gun since it holds 2 full stacks of ammo once it's maxed out... though once you get infinite ammo, shelve it for the P226 or the Raffica.

Piercing is one of the most useful properties in RE5. It doesn't just go through tribal majini shields, it goes through multiple enemies with one bullet. It's great for crowd control and efficiency and especially useful in the hands of the partner character.

6:40 I've noticed you don't have great aim throughout the video, of course the weapon feels bad to you. You have trouble hitting headshots against first act enemies, so yea you're barely gonna see crits. The truth is that this game still pops heads off in the later acts of the game if you hit headshots with it. The crit chance is very reliable. Seriously, just watch how it takes you like 3 shots to even hit the head and they're all just first act enemies who just stand there.

I think you quite misunderstood the jailbreaker, it's discount Hydra it got big spread and the special upgrade as the hydra, and like the hydra it have increased damage range so you got less damage drop in range, and did you know you can tap fire the M93R and firing it like SMG?

I feel you're ranking these weapons more off having infinite ammo. Fact is, if you're taking into account infinite ammo, there's no reason to even have a tier list; you don't need to worry about how much damage your weapon deals, because you can just hold down the trigger. This assumption is especially noticeable when you mention the M93R, and rate it so highly because you can get infinite ammo for it.

Beat game under 6 for rocket. Mercenaries is very fun on this game still only set back is killing multiple frozen enemies with melee only counts as one they fixed that in 6. And u can’t do nightmare online. So it gets really easy with a good player. I haven’t touched this game in years so I usually am getting carried but still.

Under 5, although that's still very lenient really. Also, multiple melee kills don't count as one, you just gotta look at the timer. It's just that they didn't program it for the +5 icon to change if you get multiple kills within a time frame, so it just shows up once for every kill (and gets overriden every time)

While I do agree the Ithaca is the worst shotgun, I feel like weapons in this game are way more balanced than the ones in OG RE4. As for the Ithaca, the high capacity can be useful for those who love to use shotguns as their primary weapon (obviously ignoring infinite ammo). You can also fully upgrade the damage up to 400 by the time you get the M3 which starts at 300, and the fact that there are two players means it doesn't become completely useless in most playthroughs. Funnily enough, I'm a fan of the M92F but not the silver ghost in 4 lol (aside from looks, especially with the mafia outfit), mainly because RE5 has a lot more melee variety, so a failed critical hit can just turn into a punch/kick + stomp/impale without having to keep shooting or slashing endlessly on the floor. I really don't get the Samurai edge rating though, Barry's is kinda meh (although when it pierces an enemy, the bullet retains the ability to cause a critical hit, unlike the other handgun and the MP5). Wesker's is the most powerful in the game however, so much so that it stuns executioners with a single shot. Also, the Jail Breaker is more powerful than the M3, as the "Range" upgrade (or whatever it was called) increases the amount of pellets (an inferior version of the Hydra if you will, but it doesn't cost 30k just to acquire for starters so fair enough, lol). The M3 is still better for mid-range due to the tighter spread, so it still has its uses. I also don't get why people get the impression that the L. Hawk is faster than the M29, they're exactly the same. Would share a few other thoughts but the comment is long enough as is lol

Personally, I don't agree with the M92F spot. With full critical upgrades, that gun is amazing at getting headshots to any normal enemy throughout the game, barring they don't have protection for their heads. It's really just a pocket sniper. Great video though.

i actually see no point of a weapon tier list cuz each weapon in the game like smg's, shotguns, rifles, magnums and pistols all have specific roles smg's dont do alot of dmg cuz they stun the enemy and u can confirm and do combos with someone. shotguns are for crowd control doesnt matter which one u use cuz they all do the same thing but different types of shotguns deal different dmg for rifles they are for range and magnums are to penetrate armor and pistols im unsure what they are meant for i suppose critical hits and insta kills i guess, the stun rod is like a better and fun version of the knife u have and the gatling gun is pretty much a bigger version of the scorpion and i guess like u said "stationary" and for the bow idk ig to link sheva with her ancestral weapon

Stun rods not that bad. Theres so many times when an enemy is stunned or knocked down and you can just run up and destroy them. But yeah the MELEE weapon isnt good against enemes with guns or mobs. Gee, very insightful..

What a rip. The Number 1 weapon in the game isnt the Infinite Rocketlauncher It is CHRIS BODY! His hands are rated E for everybody. Majinis, Reapers, Wesker, Jill anything! These hands are the best weapons in the game end of discussion.

i tried both of the samurai edge pistols in story mode wesker's seem more tanky and strong with a high headshot crit two shot 100% stun chance for the big dudes two shot kill guarantee for majinis (almost like a cheap magnum) while barry's just penetrates trough everything also has twice the speed with a reasonable crit chance and stun chance with a high reload speed but the con of barry's handgun is if you use it on story mode it just makes you have 0.0% accuracy and it does less damage and stun than wesker's they're both awesome and ridiculous to use
