the m19 side shooting thing is actually a reference to leon's alternate costume from og RE2 where he would hold it gangster style (really its just 1 handed Ada style) and it would increase the fire rate for reasons lol. It was especially dumb cus after you mod the handgun you go back to the normal stance. You'd think theyd give that to Claire since you cant mod the browning (and Ada uses it like that anyways)

Just because a small collection of dorks who play a game as a literal lifestyle can use it as a main weapon for speedrunning doesn't mean it's what most people are going to use in their playthroughs. Sure, it can be extremely effective once you know the ins and outs of the bosses but the average player is going to go for something that's a bit safer and has range.

Not to mention the only knife that's actually useful as a weapon is the knife with infinite durability you get for beating the game at least once. The rest break way too fast especially if used as defensive tools.

Even without pro speed runner use the knife has a lot of utility even in casual play. It’s the best tool for checking if zombies are already down without wasting ammo or forcing zombies that have a scripted wake up to prematurely deal with them. Helpful for surviving bites and you can even get your knife back when you use it against bosses that grab you after the fight it drops. It kind of dampers the whole list that it starts with knife in last when this is the RE game with the literally best knife in the series. And for those saying knife tech is gated to frame rate even at lowest frame rate at 30fps, it’s still the highest dps granted the riskiest to use but mathematically still comes out on top.

The knife should be top 5. You literally knee cap any zombie with a knife and you can knife everything to death. It's the 2nd best knife next to the Code Veronica knife. The knife(s) will carry you.

the damage and durability of the knives is tied to your framerate since each slash will be counted as multiple hits as your framerate goes up, hence why a lot of speedruns use the knife for G1. so putting them in #27 is wild when guns like the sls exist. edit: i just got to the part when you mentioned the infinite combat knife 💀 but the point still stands?

The only sin of the Grenade Launcher and it's BIGGEST ONE, is that the removed the Explosive Rounds, so the dev team have to compromise the Acid Rounds damage. Acid Rounds use to be the B.O.W Killer in the Original game.

The idiots remaking these games like to remove a lot of things that doesn't need to be removed, for example in RE4: the Mine Launcher and Incendiary Grenades, in it's place is a bigger grenades and a piece of shit Bow Gun. Fun fact: in the bonus game mode “no way out” if you have the infinite ammo cat ears and you try to reload the anti tank rocket its the longest reload in the entire game and you can’t move

Personally I never really enjoyed using the Quickdraw Army when I was playing this game because of the slow reload and because weapons like the JMB HP3 exist. Another thing too that I love is the fact that I can kill zombies with the MQ 11 after you get the suppressor for it without getting the attention of lickers.

There's two things I wish this game would have done one would be that you can still have infinite ammo after you defeat the hardest difficulty I know you can have infinite ammo for the battle game thing or the Ghost survivors and all those other extra playable characters that you have a timer to get through but that's about it of you get the fox ears but that's only for them sadly not for Leon or Claire and then the other thing I think would be cool if they actually made it where you could play as those characters through the main game or even unlock infinite weapons like that you can just start off with like you can maybe unlock the desert eagle early in the game and have it in your inventory or any of those other powerful weapons or even put in a randomizer mode where you can get it early but sadly you only can do mods for that one but I do hope one of these days they bring stuff like that back into the games

The 870 is definitely better than you made it seem. You get it extremely early and then can clear out any zombies that are in high traffic areas. It’s by far the most useful weapon for Leon in S+ runs (flamethrower for G3 and the ivy would be second most useful). I also think you should’ve had the knife higher bc it makes G1, G2 and G3 a joke if you master those fights. It definitely depends on the person though bc most people won’t be able to use the knife effectively.

Imo, depending on the RE game, the Infinite weapons shouldn't be counted on weapon ranks and tier lists. They're already High God Tier, feel like trophy items, and you're pretty much done with the game and you use them for fun. The only exception, for this game, is the Infinite Knife because it's the only Infinite weapon that doesn't prevent you from getting S+, as long as you don't forget it in points of no return.

From my experience of 100% the game with all achievements and challenges I'd make my Top 3, excluding infinite weapons - Shotgun, Magnum, Knife because of the capability and utility they offer. I can say that I used Knife more than handgun in my S+ Hardcore runs - knifing birkin 1, knifing birkin 3, checking if enemy is dead etc. Shotgun is extremely powerfull because it can oneshot headshot close range even on hardcore and If you can hit your shots this will be the most effective weapon for killing zombies. As for the Magnum that would represent a "get out of jail free card" in the situations where you slip up and get overwhelmed or using it on birkin 5 and tyrant fight. Unfortunately this is sufficient only for Leon because Claire has acces only to knives and she can make her basic pistol into a sort of a magnum but I don't like that weapon much and the SMG is horrible, chews through ammo extremely fast and it is not worth using it for anything else than birkin 3 and maaaaaybe birkin 4 if you want to save as much minigun ammo as possible for birkin 5.

I unlocked the infinite weapons a long time ago and honestly I don't think I have used any of them other than the knife. I really enjoy getting S+ ranks and I forgot those weapons existed lol. My favorite weapon is the grenade launcher with Claire and the lightning hawk with leon.

Shotgun is no. 1 (excluding inf ammo). I no joke shot every zombie in my way with the shorun on hardcore leon b, and still had quite a bit of ammo to spare. Just knife G1 and burn G2, and you can get away with killing almost every zombie in your way with ammo to spare provided you don't miss too much.

fun fact the knife is coded to the games framerate so if u bind a button to toggle the fps cap you can dish out some stupid dmg to bosses and large targets that have overlapping hit boxes. my favorite is melting the 2nd to last nemesis encounter as claire in like 15 seconds on professional 😂
