What’s crazy is that just 2 years ago that was Mike Trout. He had a staggering career OPS of 1.002 at the end of the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Judge had a career OPS of .940 at the end of the 2021 season. In just 330 games, Judge has raised his career OPS by .054 while Trout’s has dropped by .011 since the end of 2022.

Really? Wait a few years then we can compare him to Mantle, Berra and Dimmagio. I'm not saying he isn't one of the all time great Yankees because he is. But there are some great ones between Ruth and Judge; and none of those hold the AL record for RBI in a season. That belongs to another Yankee.

Okay I looked at his stats and I'll say Lou Gehrig was the greatest Yankee ever. He retired at 36 because of a disease. He finished with 1,995 RBI and, if healthy, would have more RBI than Hank Aaron which would be number 1. His obp was an amazing .447 (source Wikipedia). He had 185 RBI in a 154 game season which, believe it or not, is not the major league record.
