Knowing how Rufus is said to be a lonely person, Darkstar is his one true friend. I think many of us who can relate to Rufus would agree if we have an animal companion that is just so close to us that they are considered our one and only friend.

Remake has done a good job with him giving him battlefeats and more importance.He has been underrated but very important to the lore since he On Before Crisis he funded avalanche and on orginal he played a heroic role by destroying the party which lead access to the Avalache party (Cloud & Co ) to go defeat Sephiroth. No one betrayed him and his goal since he was alive,only when he was pressumed deceased Hojo started to act at his own according to the Japanese Dialogues,Hojo said that now that the president is no longer alive i have no one to get in my way and help my Son Sephiroth.Heidegger and Scarlet acted at their own since no one would give them orders and they had a grudge with the Avalanche members since Rufus has mocked them and putted them down for failing several times at catching them and killing them.Turks didnt want to fight anymore the Avalanche since they were only on Rufus demand,Reeve was loyal to his goals and the others changed the priorities since Rufus was pressumed deceased. On Advent Children he played with Kadaj by hiding the box of Jenova Cells. Remake and rebirth and also the part 3 have given and will give a lot of credit

I actually feel bad for Rufus. His father was barely ever present in his life as an actual father. He most likely barely knew his mother. He admits in Rebirth that hes lonely though he tries to just brush over it. And then the ordeals he goes throuvh in OtWtaS and TKAA he shows how kind he can actually be despite his parentage. Everything is a cover for who he really is.

I like Rufus because as ruthless as he is, he is not even close to high horrible his father was. Though he didn’t stop the Shinra experiment, he showed that he doesn’t like it. Also he did show he cared for the people. Plus, I really like his relationship with Darkstar and he really cares for his dog a lot and I also like his relationship with the Turks as well. He is definitely one of my fav characters in FF7.

I like how smart he is. He is always several steps before anyone other. I wouldn't be surprised if it will be him, who reveal us whats going on. Just hoping, they will not ruin his character. They should not overuse him. He shouldn't for example engage in other duels with the party, because he sees, that he loses, he should use different methods.

In AC hatte er eine. Wenn die seinem Character Arc treu bleiben wird Rufus später wohl eine Erleuchtung haben. Vlt schließt er sich im dritten Teil der Truppe als Sidechar an. Rufus wird zu viel dargestellt als einfach so als Bösewicht abgefrühstückt zu werden.

I think that will be answered in Ever Crisis The First Soldier. But I suspect it had something to do with Glenn defecting from Shinra and going to the enemy.

It seems likely that Rufus was RESPONSIBLE for Glenn defecting. He wanted to overthrow his father for a long time. In expanded material, he worked with AVALANCHE to get the job done which is why he was on "extended leave" aka house arrest. He probably had Glenn turn traitor for some mission of his and then shot him in the back when he became a liability.

I could be harshly incorrect. But the Movie Final fantazy 7 advent children revealed Rufus legit survived the midgar Shinra HQ Mako Cannon explosion. He and Cloud got Geo Stigma? Gio Stigma? Cellular cancer basically. Cloud was hiding it. Rufus was being crippled by it. But yeah. Hes definitely likely to survive the game. Hopefully.😂

Um....Rufus does survive... there's a book that takes place after this called On the Way to a Smile one of the stories has him in it after he escapes the Shinra building. And then he's in Advent Children and he's shown at the end surviving as well. He's very much alive.

@zeromustsurugi618 oh dude. It's sooooo good. I definitely recommend reading it. On The Way to a Smile is about all of the characters. Cloud and Tifa, Barret, Nanaki, Yuffie, and Rufus and the Turks. Definitely a good read. It gives you a lot of insight into the aftermath of the game leading up to AC
