Backpacking through South East Asia in the 2000's. This was one of the songs that would be played alot. When I hear this song and close my eyes, for a split second it takes me right back there. White sands, warm sea water, the freedom, the adventure, being young. Living one day at a time.

The pop culture, film/movie industry has been on a virtual boom since the mid 70s all the way through to the early to mid 2000s, as if every decade just kept getting boosted by the previous to keep creating magic. After the mid 2000s it started taking a nosedive with reality television, manufactured tv show music and cartoon and CGI films, to what we have today which is a complete and utter pile of dogshit across all industries and genres

So much nostalgia in this song. I wasted my 20s so bad on booze, strip clubs and shallow relationships. I was fortunate enough to straighten my act during my 30s, start my family and recently come to the UK and currently study a PhD. Now entering my 40s, I really miss all that unlimited energy and spark, but I let nostalgia remind me not to waste any more time. Cheers to you all !! Live a life full of mistakes, success and magic. It flies away in an instant. Edit: I just submitted my thesis, what a challenge it has been. I wish you all the happiness I feel right now.

Pure Shores was the song that finally got me booking that flight to Thailand, I flew out this time last year. After years of feeling a sense of wanderlust every time I heard this song, on a sunny Augest day in 2022 I knew I had to get away. I didn't imagine I would ever get to travel to somewhere like Thailand. However, I was sick of being sensible and with a little money to my name I finally did it! Like most who travel Thailand in their mid 30s I was searching for something. All thanks to this song, I found some pieces of me I had been looking for.

Racster66 Look at the UK's GDP per Capita and employment rates and compare it the rest of the world. It's very healthy. I can see why so many people would want to live there. It has beautiful scenery, and many great cities, particularly London, which along with New York is widely considered to be the most vibrant city in the world. Don't forget the culture, the language is a huge plus because it's so widespread, it's famous around the world for its music, and has the world's best soccer league. You may also laugh, but the climate is also a draw. There are no extremes of temperature, warm summers and cool winters, almost ideal. Especially for those who come from countries with extreme weather. I'd bet NigerianRocker would appreciate a cooler, less humid climate.

I was 8 years old when this song came out and I immediately fell in love with it. I didn't even know the meaning of the lyrics (not an English mother tongue as you can imagine), but the music was just like honey to my ears. Now I'm 26, still listening to this song. The amount of nostalgia is insane, but it feels good. Thank you All Saints.

"Pure Shores" I've crossed the deserts for miles Swam water for time Searching places to find A piece of something to call mine (I'm coming) A piece of something to call mine (I'm coming) (I'm coming) Coming closer to you Went along many moors Walked through many doors The place where I wanna be Is the place I can call mine (I'm coming) Is the place I can call mine (I'm coming) (I'm coming) Coming closer to you I'm moving I'm coming Can you hear, what I hear It's calling you my dear Out of reach (Take me to my beach) I can hear it, calling you I'm coming not drowning Swimming closer to you Never been here before I'm intrigued, I'm unsure I'm searching for more I've got something thats all mine I've got something thats all mine Take me somewhere I can breathe I've got so much to see This is where I want to be In a place I can call mine In a place I can call mine I'm moving I'm coming Can you hear, what I hear It's calling you my dear Out of reach (Take me to my beach) I can hear it, calling you I'm coming not drowning Swimming closer to you Moving, coming Can you hear what I hear? (Hear it out of reach) I hear it calling you Swimming closer to you Many faces I have seen Many places I have been Walked the deserts, swam the shores (Coming closer to you) Many faces I have know Many way in which I've grown Moving closer on my own (Coming closer to you) I move it I feel it I'm coming Not drowning I move it I feel it I'm coming Not drowning I'm moving I'm coming Can you hear, what I hear It's calling you my dear Out of reach (Take me to my beach) I can hear it, calling you I'm coming not drowning Swimming closer to you (Take me to my beach) I'm moving I'm coming Can you hear, what I hear It's calling you my dear Out of reach (Take me to my beach) I can hear it, calling you I'm coming not drowning Swimming closer to you (Take me to my beach) [Repeat chorus to fade]
