@@crylune i mean, the later games don't really change or ruin the story of the first three games, fnaf 4 - 6 wanted to tell a different story with a different focus, using the first three games as context to build on. i feel like people get really negative about the second trilogy, they are awesome and satisfying in their own way, they just don't have that same beautiful simplicity. unless you were referring to security breach, then... yeah.

@@St1ckyGrape Agreed. I enjoyed 1-3 the most but also liked 4-6 which had a perfect ending to conclude the series. The new lore past that is all wacky and not canon to the original series, theres just no way it is because it would make no sense at all. I don't get what the story is even supposed to be anymore. Plus its no longer a mysterious ghost story which was a reason I got so interested in FNaF. The new lore doesn't feel like FNaF. The games especially Help Wanted are fine (though Security Breach's game design looked so bad it made me wonder if the developers had ever made a game before). It's just the story, whatever it is doesn't interest me, and I don't appreciate it trying to retcon 6's ending even though I already see the new lore as non canon to the original anyway. I'm ok with it not being about ghosts anymore if the new story is still decent, but I'm just not into the new lore. I'll be writing a FNaF 3 story now

For everyone who didnt know the reason behind william (aka purple guy) destroying the animatronics was because he was scared. He knew that the children possessed the animatronics because he was the one to kill and stuff them into the suits. Then the kids were freed from the suits not having a body to posses. They then went after william scaring him enough to think that the golden bonnie animatronic would save him, then resulted into the spring locks misfunction and he died from it.

I love how at the golden age of fnaf markiplier seemed really attracted to the lore at this time, years later I believe at some point he implied he didn’t care about it which sorta hit me in a bad way lmao, though someone can correct me because I swear I’ve heard that from somewhere at some point in the present days. I can imagine as mark progressed game after game the lore only ever got more complex making him lose his interest in the lore, I honestly can’t blame him lol, fnaf really should’ve ended on the third game, I only ever recently came back to fnaf in late 2021 after leaving it since mid 2016, just here revisiting memories I won’t ever get tired of, such simpler and happier times it was for me during this era, and probably for everybody else as well.

For me, this is the best Markiplier video. It is peak FNaF in terms of discovering the story through amazing easter eggs and trying to figure the bigger pinture out back when the saga was more simple and less overdone. Out of universe, it’s some entertaining sardonic commentary on corporations, and in universe, it’s a through-line in every single game event. Just some very good story structure from Scott.

I think I read a while back that they still want to make it, they just haven't come up with a script that they're happy with, or that Scott himself is happy with, it just keeps ending up too cheesy or just plain bad.
