What’s the difference between writer and lyricist??

For my understanding a writer writes most of the song and a lyricist the rap parts but I am not sure. For this video I used genius as source and there they were separated for some songs, so that’s why I added it in

So my understsnding a writer does the melody, lyrics and harmonies of a song, whike the lyricist only writes the words of a song if u understand A songwriter can create the whole song to put it in some way, putting a melody and lyrics together, but a lyricist only creates the words that go respecting the theme they going for to put it to a melody that already has been created Im probably not the best explaining but my 15 minutes reading taught mr that, sorry if a put some misleading things here

i think that's a happy little accident. there is nothing that cube hates more than giving it's artists (particularly _female_ artists) music. the only reason why idle have got such regular comebacks is because they write them themselves. (just look at clc or lightsum(!) - they don't write songs so they don't _have_ songs.) but it will come in very handy for sure.

I think I understand what you mean so I’m here to explain. Yuqi and Minnie produced the song with two others and Soyeon, yuqi Minnie and one other have written the song. So soyeon took part in making the song but Yuqi and Minnie indeed had a bigger part.

hmm.. let me break it all down: A composer is the one who comes up with the actual music, the melodies, chords, and whatnot. The arranger decides things like what instruments to use and how they should play, plus sometimes the structure of the song (or piece) and the feel/mood/tempo/style/genre of it. more of a deep dive: The role of a producer varies, but I'll just explain I-dle's role: the producer is the main person who works with the band to make the record. btw a band that produces their own record, they make all the major decisions and just hire someone to do the technical job of recording them (that’s called an engineer).
