For those of you telling me Nazo isn't Sonic, the character we see at the end of that Japanese Sonic X trailer was a new form for Sonic, but the creators scrapped it. Chakra X took this unused Sonic form and turned him into a fanon character we know as Nazo. Nazo Unleashed isn't canon guys.

I think Darkspine qualifies as a type of Genie or Djinn, as his power is on a cosmic scale, much like Erazor's. Not only is he able to withstand the attacks from Erazor in a God like form, but once Erazor's grip on his new world slips, Sonic resets it to the original form, albeit at the cost of the Darkspine form, just with a flick of his wrist.

I agree. The problem is it's hard to watch without becoming horrified. Poor Sonic was in agony the whole time. With the purple smoke transformation, it wasn't nearly as horrifying, yes Soni suffers quite a bit of pain, but at least he was spared the agony being electrocuted! I can't imagine how anyone can live through that! 😰
