My favorite is isshin,because it teached me to be agressive and no hesitation.Also it has every type of attacks.Everything you learned in the game.Wild attacks of ape,slam attack of genichiro,gunblast of snake eyes,gyopu masataka's charge, oh and dodges,too satisfiying!I enjoy every second of the fight. Bloodborne doesn't even have that many amazing bosses, and i don't mean that as derogatory as it sounds. The game doesn't have that many bosses to begin with, if you don't count chalice dungeon bosses (and none of the bosses unique to the dungeons are worthy of top spots in rankings). It has some really amazing bosses for sure but most of the main game bosses range from mediocre to great, not amazing. The dlc has 3 amazing bosses and the main game has Gehrman. Dark Souls 3 tops that even without its Dlcs. And again, i'm not shitting on Bloodborne here. It has a much higher boss quality on average than Ds, Ds1 and 2 but Fromsoft imo easily surpassed that average in DS3 and Sekiro. So yeah, if i see anyone putting 10 BB bosses at the top of a soulsbornekiro boss ranking, then i can really only assume it's actually a Bloodborne fanatic.

I'll never forget my first time fighting Lady Maria, the delicate dance of that fight is one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. I beat her on my second try the first playthrough of the dlc that I did and I'll always be proud of myself for that lol

I actually completely agree with the list of bosses you ranked as the best in the series. My personal order changes constantly depending on which boss I've fought last but Inner Father is a damn good choice for the #1 spot. On a sidenote I'm surprised you didn't mention the path to Sir Alonne, because my god if I were to make a ranking of the paths you had to go through to fight each boss then Sir Alonne's would be at the deepest pits of hell itself.

Ludwig is probably still my favorite, the contrast between his manic first phase and the calculated movement of the second is so well done. He has been mentioned throughout the entire game from the very start and seeing in him his deformed state is a powerful moment. Also, that phase transition cutscene is one of the best cutscenes of any game

@@Fucev to be fair, most of the beloved bosses in the games that aren't Sekiro come from DLCs, and ER already has several bosses that I think come very close to those juggernauts (Morgott and Mohg come immediately to mind for me). So yeah, give ER a few DLCs and some time to work out how to balance stuff for a true open world and I think they could come up with something truly special.

So we get to see what it’s like to be on the receiving end and overall it’s tons of fun. His moveset is challenging but it doesn’t feel unfair and has a satisfying flow to it. Amazing boss

I 100% agree that the lance moveset of Soul of Cinder is awful, but I have one big issue with Soul of Cinder that also applies to Isshin, Sword Saint, Gwyn and Manus. Inconsistent aggression; sometimes they can be pretty passive and other times they can give you no time to do anything, Gehrman is the only final boss in a FromSoftware game that I feel has consistent aggression (2nd best behind Gael imo). There is such a thing as a boss being too aggressive you know, and sometimes those bosses do that and it isn't fun. I have a love/hate relationship with Soul of Cinder and Manus because of this issue with thoss fights. I also feel the same way with Ludwig, his charge attack is cancer and the first phase I find a bit frustrating at times. Also locking onto Midir isn't bad, as long as you stay in front of him, while it does swing from side to side with some combos it's not super jarring and adds a bit of extra rhythm to his movements. You don't want to be too close, but you don't want to be too far back either. I'm sorry but Sister Friedee is one of the worst bosses in the series, fuck that trash boss and everything it stands for. Orphan does have some bullshit, it's what I like to call "fuck you kill" syndrome, Champion Gundyr and Soul of Cinder also suffer from this to an extent (Gundyr it's not too bad), basically where you get knocked to the ground by an attack, but as you leave the i-frames of the recovery animation the boss hits you with an attack you couldn't have avoided and likely die to (the SoC lance thrust that sends you skyward is a pretty bad example of this). Other than that Orphan is easily the most stressful thing that I've ever done in a video game, I was physically shaking by the end of both wins. I've beaten him twice AND HE STILL SCARES ME, let that sink in, but he's a great fight. Ludwig is a mixed bag but in the excellent tier still, but the charge attack sucks a lot of enjoyment out of the fight for me, plus I find that the difficulty nose dives in phase 2, I've only died once in phase 2 so far. I havent fought Inner Owl yet, but given the mixed feelings that I have for Inner Genichiro and how I despise Inner Isshin (havent gotten past phase 1 yet) I'm nervous about that one when I eventually unlock it.

Ludwig’s charge attack is so fucking cancerous, I’m deep into Ng+ cycles and while I can do the first phase near perfect sometimes that charge just one shots me. Tiny wind up, fuckin massive hit box and can easily one shot you even when you’re very high level. Still love that bastard though

I agree on number 1. I love using my mist raven against his mist raven in phase 2 and mixing it in with some other prosthetics and arts. It turns it into some of the most anime looking and feeling moments in the game where you're flash stepping around each other and barely dodging slashes while firing off projectiles and doing big fire attacks at the end of combos that you could even call out as they're winding up. It's freaking crazy. Gael is still up there for me, but Inner Owl feels like a true toe-to-toe fight while Gael's more of a great dodgefest where you get like one attack in for every 6 of his.

Gwyn is my favorite soulsborne boss. There was no experience like my first time fighting him. First of all, the atmosphere is perfect. I remember how spent 4 hours dying to him 100+ times, and yet none of those deaths felt like bullshit. I fondly remember how strong I felt when I got him stuck on a rock. It’s also really satisfying when I dodge via shitboxes. And at the end of it all was the amazing feeling of having beat dark souls, (And I guess the less amazing feeling of not being able to fight Kalameet or Manus, but I got around to those).

Aside from parrying, the reason I wouldn't put Maria as high is because it's just too easy to stagger her and kill her while she's buffing. Most of the time I barely see any of her 2nd phase and almost none of her 3rd if none at all. I think it would've been an improvement if they made her undamageable during these phase transitions, or at the very least make them quicker so you can't get so much damage in. Orhan is my favorite BB boss, followed by Ludwig, and Maria would be somewhere between 5-3 probably.

Personally, I think nothing tops Midir and Gael, they're my number 1 and 2, respectively. Edit: Midir's first phase music is my favourite boss theme in the whole series.

Father Gas Gas Gas Gas made me hate myself haha. So I quit DS1 pretty early on, beat DS2 but quickly forgot about it, tried to play DS3 but I just couldn’t get into it. Beat Bloodborne several times, and never played Sekiro. Never played demon souls so coming back to this after playing Elden Ring which I still haven’t beat and am like 100 hours in just adventuring. I gotta say… it really looks like FromSoft reused a lot of models and animations while mix and matching. Pretty cool to see Edit: Dancer looks exactly like one of the assassins that killed Godwyn or whatever his name was. So cool

I see that you have problem with Ludwig going down quickly. What I love to do is face him at bl 60-65 with +9 upgraded weapon. That way the fight is always thrilling.

Agree with Inner Father, great choice. Inner Genichiro should have been amazing tier though. Demon Prince and Isshin should trade places, as should Maria and Orphan.

Finally the Demons get the love they deserve. Imo they are easily the best duo fight, with great spectacle and gameplay alike...it's just unfortunate that they are placed right at the beginning of one of the best dlcs with a tough competition
