I definitely think Absolute Radiance is the hardest boss I've ever fought in a video game. The fight on its own is very difficult, but it's the fact you have to go through a pantheon of over 40 bosses and since there's no checkpoints you have to do it all over again if you die. I can't tell you how many hours I spent trying to beat it. Also can't wait to see Elden Ring content on your channel and I'm so ready to spend hundreds of hours exploring this game.

A boss that I still remember due to how much trouble she gave me was the Burst from Furi. Every boss in that game has a kind of "desperation phase" where they throw everything at you and it turns into a bullet hell. Well, the Bursts final phase was so difficult that I was stuck on it for hours. I would always make it to the final phase, without taking damage, and still die because there's SO much shit on the screen. At one point I just entered "the zone" and was able to beat her. I'm not sure if I can ever again do that again, it has been years.

@robertkane2091 Жыл бұрын
@@thundageon5962That's just plain not true about Sigrun, the 3 major reasons for that fight's punishing difficulty have absolutely nothing to do with the player. Firstly, Sigrun is so much faster and more mobile than Kratos It's just plain ridiculous, I can't think of one instance in the soulsborne games for example where your character is so outmatched in that department, even Friede in DS3 who moves like Maria in Bloodborne is still fairer than Sigrun. This plays into the second issue, healing! Healing is intentionally sparse and slow in the game and whilst it works the vast majority of the time, Sigrun's speed makes it ludicrously dangerous to stop for even a millisecond. Thirdly, the variety of attacks is borderline unfair to ask anyone to remember, but if it was just that it wouldn't be quite so bad, however, many of them have similar windups but totally different ways in which you are supposed to manage them. One attack can be used 1, 2 or 3 times in a row with zero indication of which it will be until the last millisecond. One attack requires you to be essentially on the other side of the arena to avoid chunking half your health, another blinds you etc, and quite often they are accompanied by busy effects that makes keeping attention even harder. Sometimes you can stun her out of attacks but as her health declines this isn't always true for attacks that haven't otherwise changed with no clear delineation of when this actually happens made apparent until you've already suffered a hit. And all of this is augmented by the first issue her since she's does all these ludicrously quickly and it augments in turn the second issue, since you often have to turn your back on her to heal at all, taking focus from dealing with her myriad attacks. Sigrun is considerably harder than the Orphan of Kos and even Malenia, but this is entirely because the difference in abilities between Kratos and her not only strays but full on runs into utter bullshit territory.

The hardest bosses I've ever beaten were all on Nioh 1 & 2, on path of the Nioh. Obviously they wouldn't count for your list because that's not normal difficultly, but for anyone in to fast paced and super difficult combat, try these games and reach the top tier difficulty. You almost have to perfect the bosses to beat them which makes for some incredible fights. Personally I've always enjoyed the Nioh games far more than Dark Souls as the faster and far deeper combat system really appeals to me

Sanada Yukimura and Inner Father are my personal picks. After I beat the Shura gauntlet on NG+7 (Charmless, demon bell) I practiced the fight hours because it was so tough and fun, but I still can't consistently beat him, which is unlike pretty much every other boss that I fought for this long, also when I completed the mortal journey for the first time last week beating Inner Father felt just like a complete shitshow that I barely managed to beat. Sanada, on the other hand, completely destroys me no matter how welll equipped I think I am. By the time I got to play the second DLC I started to get a bit underleved, so I thought he was so difficult because of that. But after I beat him, I completed NG+ and got better gear, went back to the level and he still wiped the floor with me, on my second playthrough It wasn't so hard because I had much more Ki to block his combos, but it was still quite tough, I've been playing Nioh again with a Tonfa/Ninjutsu build and I can't wait to fight him again and be bodied. Both are so hard but for very different reasons so I'm not sure which one is the toughest for me, but they're really cool bosses anyway (especially Inner Father)

They are easier, you can pretty much ignore Friede at the second phase and look if she's healing and deal damage to FA who will pretty much miss all the time. Friede at first phase who can pretty much get interrupted, get backstabbed, parried, get stunlocked by a bow or a R1Spam+R2 and her invisibility is obvious once you've done chasing her or where she jumped by using sound cues/Looking where she landed/using objects like arrows or garbage. At P3 its literally just parrying is invalid since she has 6-7 hit comboes that has massive poise so just baiting it or going out of range for her to use her ranged attacks, she is pretty much easy.
@bismarckimperia87812 жыл бұрын
Meanwhile the Godkin duo input reads your heals, cannot be backstabbed, needs skill or practice to parry, can't be interrupted easily, has more varied attacks from AoE Splash to AoE widespread attacks, has insane amount of health and damage. Though its heavily countered that they are pretty much weak to sleep.

Thinking about hard bosses from games I've played. What immediately comes to mind is the Fawful Express in M&L Bowser's inside story. Turn the ds sideways to fight this boss, but don't forget, you can't punch it so you have to use the ds's mic. Add the time limit towards an instant death, and you have an insanely hard and frustrating boss. I don't think I struggle with it too much anymore, although take that with a grain of salt since I haven't played BIS in years, but generally speaking there's a section where the damn train states still, and you can stall it there for constant chip damage. I can't think of any others off the top of my head. Other bosses I struggled with often became easier with the solution of "don't be stupid", or weren't necessarily that hard in the first place, just frustrating beyond all hell. You know what, We'll throw out Jin in xenoblade 2 and N in xenoblade 3, future redeemed. Both are dodge tanks that can break, topple, launch your entire party. In other words, stun lock you and get a damage boost during said stun lock. Actually, one other boss slipped my mind from xenoblade 1. I won't specify who it is due to spoilers, but also because I'm not the biggest fan of xenoblade 1, and don't remember who tf they are. Dodge tank, in an arena that has something that can damage you, and a unique enemy (mini boss) that can attack you in the middle of fighting said boss. Anyways, I just want to say, Xenoblade 1 has an amazing story and amazing music, my dislike of it comes purely from the actual gameplay. Nothing else.

I managed to beat Darkeater Midir after about 10 tries, but he a was a giant fucking dragon and was fun, and I beat Gael on my second try, and he was one of the most fun bosses I've played in the series, besides the Ivory King in DS2. She is just ridiculously stupid with her delays, speed, and random dodges. I did master the fight and managed to annihilate her and Ariandel

You mean Sanada who I beat on my second try on my first playthrough is harder than Bloodborne's chalice dungeon bosses or the absolute radiance?

Seven-foot balls, rats along his balls When he calls your balls, it all fades to black Yeah, he sees your balls and feasts on your balls (hey) We don't talk about Ballin, no, no, no We don't talk about Ballin He told me my balls would die, the next day, dead (no, no) He told me my balls would grow it was sarcastic (no, no) He said that all my balls would disappear Now, look at my balls (no, no) Your balls are sealed when your prophecy is read He told me that the balls of my dreams Would be promised, and someday be mine He told me that my balls would grow Like the grapes that thrive on the vine (Óye, your package's on his way) He told me that the balls of my dreams Would be just out of reach Betrothed to another It's like I hear them now Hey sis, I want not a ball out of you I can hear them now Um, Ballin Yeah, about that Ballin I really need to know about Ballin Gimme the truth and the whole truth, Ballin (Isabella, your package's here) Time for dinner Seven-balls balls, balls along his balls When he calls your balls, it all balls to balls Yeah, he sees your balls and balls on your balls (Splash sound effect even more compressed and loud) You Ballin' this balls, or ball balls? Whoa, it's crazy a player with your skill finds Shuten Doji hard when I would rank 60% of Nioh 2 bosses above him in terms of difficulty, Tate Eboshi, Lightning Yomi, and Nyutengu just to name a few lol. Guess it's such a subjective experience especially depending on what build you use.

Phalanx from Demons Souls...took me 1,365,589 tries. Almost as hard as Alduin...even on novice difficulty it took me 37 years to beat

Sans from Undertale should probably be on that list, on first playthroughs he can take up to 10 hours to beat, far more than any cuphead bosses for example. He is far from being harder than bosses like absolute radiance though
