Not offering a base level no frills XL work truck with a small cab and 6' bed option is a dealbreaker. I will never have use for rear seating and a small bed. 6 more inches than the useless Maverick bed in a larger truck? Truly unacceptable FORD. Thankyou for your time and effort putting together this segment though. A Frontier S King Cab with a V6 and 6' bed is much more suitable for a working get stuff done truck in the "mid" size truck market.

It seems Ford is moving towards moving the f150 and smaller trucks to the average driver’s needs as opposed to purely commercial or fleet needs - I do like how the base trims come with everything you could need now, just wish they were more incentives to bring the price down a bit for the average joe

Can you confirm if the Optional Tow Package includes the brake controller (since it includes the 7-pin connector)?

It is hitch and wiring. The Advanced Towing Package on the XLT and Lariat gets Brake Controller and Pro Trailer Backup Assist.

I have been struggling to find if the 2024 ranger lariat trim comes with lane centering. Meaning not bump, not chime, but actively tries to keep you centered in the lane. Previous versions of the truck had this called out and my local dealer assured me that this truck would have it but wondering if you had heard anything about it

Great point. I am hoping that they just forgot to add the wording on the order guide and that is comes with the lane centering.

Disappointed that the cargo system the Maverick used with simply 2x4 lumber to section off the bed sections is not being utilized in the Ranger models 😢

I ended up ordering a 2024 Ranger XL and canceled my 2024 Maverick XLT AWD. Needed a higher towing capacity and in all honesty, couldn't get around the orange points and seat colors of the XLT.

Toyota is offering an extended cab with a 6 foot bed. Never owned a Toyota, but that’s a win over Ford.

True but for those who wants to use this as a daily driver and haul their family around will appreciate the massive increase of the rear legroom from a 34” to an impressive 38”. While the Tacoma stayed the same with their worst in the segment rear leg room. As a father with kids in car seats, the Ranger is a no brainer.

@@longmcarthur It's still a beauty of a truck! I'll have to wait until my Maverick is paid off before I go after this. Love your videos and postings on Maverick Truck Forum, BTW. Aside from a few radio glitches, 18K+ miles in on my EB FWD Maverick, it's been smooth sailing with no regrets!
