The only constant is change. I went mudlarking along the edge of the biggest old dumpsite I know, to see how the river, and humans have changed the shape of things... and of course, to find anything that I might want.

Into my heart an air that kills From yon far country blows: What are those blue remembered hills, What spires, what farms are those? That is the land of lost content, I see it shining plain, The happy highways where I went And cannot come again.

Well said Toni Wilson, we are in full agreement! So enjoyable Tom, so see you tracing the walk along the river that you did about a year ago. The countryside looks as lovely as ever. We watched Kit and Caboodlers recent making of the Brontë doll, wonderful, and so enjoyed your reading of an extract from Jane Eyre. Looking forward to your next outing.

That little blue milk glass vase is lovely! I like the little spool insulator too. Those square edge profile ones are nice and bright white ceramic suggests it is probably german made and probably from the 1910s. Some lovely light switches too! Kate and Fleur are always so thoughtful and I hope I meet them one day like I plan to meet yourself one day.

Hi Tom 😊 I have not been watching your videos of late but now I have an excellent use for my lazy Sunday .I will go back find all the videos I have not watched and wander down paths and through water watching along side you for bits of wire or that rare (oh I do want 2 green and blue) little poison bottle. Perhaps another swan or maybe the elusive river otter will make an appearance amongst the bits of pottery and cod marbles that the rivers and streams set down on the shore. I look forward to the adventures I shall have while snuggled up with my two cats Silver and Osssy . Thank You for the lovely walk 🚶‍♀

Tom, It's good to see you out and about. Summer came late to us in the Pacific Northwest, I'm only a short ride from Canada. Plants bloomed late but brought summer heat in the 80's Fahrenheit, quite unusual, but low humidity and breezes tempered it. As you wandered that path above the wetlands and threaded through those smaller trees ,it seemed to me that they were either planted by land owners or were remediation. The big C put a hiatus on some travels, but I recall those winter snow walks through the Yorkshire Hills, I hope to see that again, God willing. In February I became an octogenarian, quite an interesting term for 80, but I'm grateful I'm still well and can wander woods and streams. I can't quite equate my mirror image with who I am inside, I guess I should be grateful to still feel young and can wonder about this fantastic planet. Cheers, Rik Spector Don't procrastinate, if you have plans, do them now, 'Time that old funny, won't hang up his coat, even for one day"
