The dates on the tyre are in week year format.Your new tyre was manufactured in the 28th week of the year 2021 which means your tyre is manufactured at the end of July 2021.

The first two digit show the week of the manufacture and the last two digit is year No date mentioned in any tyre only week and year mention in tyre so be careful sir .. ur new tyre manufacture in Feb 2021. I hope this message is helpful to others who buy new tyre.

Most of your journeys are on proper roads, so to get the best out of tyres H/T's are better. I have been driving my Fortuner in the desert, wadi's, and mountain trails on H/T's and they perform pretty well cause I have a proper 4x4 system. It is advisable to drop your tyre pressure to 25psi on rocky trails to get better grip and prolong the wear and tear on your tyres. I hope this little bit of information will be useful for your subscribers as well.

06 means 6th Week Of The Year And 28 means 28th Week Of The Year. 06 Is Very Old And Will Not Provide Much Comfort Or Handling Best Is Go For Max 3 Months OLD i.e., You Would Gone For 24th Week Max Not Below 24th. And Dealers Get Those OLD Tyres In Half Of The Price But Charged You The Price Of The New One.

There first two numbers represent week 1 to 52 and the last two numbers represent year. 0621 is 2021 February 2nd week is the manufacturing date and 2821 is 2nd week of July 2021. Probably the tyre seller didn’t want to tell u correct info because he sold u a feb made tyre as august made. Also they don’t want to impart correct info to customers as it might be difficult for them to sell slightly older or very old tyres too.

I have had Good Year tyres on 2 of my cars (Hyundai). The tyres lasted 30k on one and 43k on another. I really wouldn't recommend Good Year to anyone. At the same time, I managed to get 61k on MRF.
