As a solo FEMALE camper in a 7metre van I decided to swap my tyres for Goodrich all terrain 15 months ago. I saw all the negative comments but went ahead anyway. I've noticed no difference in road noise or mpg. Speedo now registers correctly. It's given me the confidence to drive in all conditions, and I've driven off many muddy fields where others have had to be towed out. So it's a big tick from me! Keep up the hood work, love your videos.

I have done exactly the same. 15 to 16 and I went for Grabber AT3 tyres. Only thing I noticed was the speedo is out .....actual 33 to 34 when showing 30. Could be cured now though with the new speedo gears I've had to fit when the electronic speedo failed. I wouldn't go back.

@@Eurosully There were many reasons i went to A/Ts and wont go back which are all the ones you mentioned except probably the biggest reason is the state of the roads and wanting a stronger and deeper tyre to protect my rims and suspension against hard knocks and pinch punctures.

@Eurosully7 ай бұрын
Hi Stephen, thanks for your positive feedback, and congratulations on your new tyres 🛞 😂 I run my manufacture recommended, which is 79 psi rear and 72 psi front. This is very firm, a bit thrashy, although better than the previous 15 inch wheel tyre combo from the factory. A lot run them at 65r 55f, but not tried it, yet. I have a TPMS system from factory, which is set to 79/72 and no easy way to reset to different pressures. So for now I’m staying standard but may well have a play in future if I can put up with a permanent warning light!! Or if I find someone local to sort the TPMS. Cheers 🍻 for watching 👀 Andrew, Jane & Buddy 🐶

@@Eurosully Thank you for the reply Andrew (Jane & Buddy) luckily I don't have the TPMS on my motorhome, I had set them around the factory recommendations for the motorhome initially but found it a little vague on the motorway so I've dropped them slightly and it drives a lot better. Hi Andrew (Jane & Buddy) so I've done a fair few trips now on the new wheels and tyres and covered a good variation of motorway, A roads and B roads I've set the front tyres at 50psi and the rears at 54psi and its a lot more settles on the road and doesn't feel sketchy or twitchy on the motorway especially when passing trucks. I hope this is helpful, keep up with the great content 👍

Hi Great video. Can I ask, is your motorhome front or rear wheel drive? (Guessing front). I don't have a motor home but a converted hyundai i800 van, it's rear wheel drive and I've gotten stuck a few times even on waterlogged grass pitches. Luckily, there has always been kind bystanders keen to help... I've been looking looking at going down the route of off road tires to help, after watching this, I'm now convinced it's the right way forward. Thanks👍
@Eurosully7 ай бұрын
Hi, it’s a front wheel drive. Tricky, as most weight is over rear so don’t always get max traction. The AT tyres help 🛞 but not the same as on a car or a 4x4. I nearly got out, the tyres were good as in, they got moving in reverse but then went down into a real soft boggy bit. I would have been just sat still spinning with the old tyres. Was easier to let the farmer tow us out than recover ourselves, which I think we could have easily done with those tyres and a lower pressure with traction mats. If you look at our latest vlog, you’ll see what I mean, we get stuck! Cheers 🍻 for tuning in 📺 Andrew, Jane & Buddy 🐶

With them impressions I thought I was watching the return of mike yarwood 😂😂😂, you should know that FB is the fountain of all knowledge 😂😂😂, you could get the FB lawyers after you now for having fun at someones expense 😂😂😂, let's be fair half these motorhome owners wouldn't even need tyres, as most seem to sorn them from Oct to April , and the rest boast how they have a 27 year old motorhome and it only has 2400 miles on it 😂😂😂 they could use wooden tyres😂😂😂, personally never used them tyres so can't comment, but if I went to Lapland I would, and they do look very smart, im sure you could get a zillion miles out of them, anyway another enjoyable vlog keep them coming 👍.

Is the mpg drop really because you drive faster? 🤔 .....Or is it because you're basically doing the same distance to the gallon, but it's now reporting less because it's accurate? Cos maths 😁
@Eurosully10 ай бұрын
Dunno 🤷 too complicated, but you would always expect to use more fuel if you drive (significantly) faster 🚐💨 Either way, a negligible impact on economy versus the benefits of the tyres👍
