I'm a MASSIVE fan of Frankie Dettori, but I think he dropped two huge clangers today. He left Stradivarius boxed in and well behind until it was way too late, and still was not far behind at the end. He could have won the Gold Cup today. And Saga in the Brittania Stakes should have won too - Frankie only went to work with a furlong and a half left, and Saga finished like a train. From that far back, why did he not push from 2 furlongs out? Still, even Piggott made the odd mistake (but I can't remember him ever making two big 'uns in one mega important meeting).

Stunning mistake in the Gold Cup; his only excuse was the slow pace that meant they all bunched up entering the straight. Frankie was dead lucky to find a gap having decided to go through the middle, but Saga was never given the opportunity to win the race and was given much too much to do. Great run, poor tactics by the great man. Twice in one day. Ouch.

A mistake on Emily upjohn no excuse for him. His working for the bookies taking back handers. He will start winning soon. When the heat picks up his crooked dealings. I say get on Fully Wet 2.30 race tomorrow at 11/1. Frankie Dettori will grab an outside consolation for his bad riding.

@@joekelleher3546 Lester Piggott was by a mile the best ever at getting a run when he looked boxed in, or seeing that he might not get through and going outside nice and early. Willie Carson also near perfect there. But you are right - Dettori is one of the best - usually. He will have learned from this I'm sure.

That ride by Ryan Moore on Kyprios was from another planet. So smart all the way round. He even looked flat to the boards on the final bend but really he was keeping Frankie in. Genius.

TV racing channels, some trainers and owners suffer from Dettoriitis. When I see him strutting around the world like a colossus I think of jockeys trying to scrape a living in mickey mouse races and risking serious injury.

Itv presenters won't tell you a winner when they know one,good example Harley turner wins on a second fav,but they never mentioned her horse at all,even though it was second fav,the nerd weaver bored you'd with his predictions who going win,but like the others don't mention turner's Gide at all,a person that works for itv racing,and she mention her do called best chance that lost.take the hint,never Liston to them,they know a winner,they won't tell you.worst presenter on horseracing.

It Beggars belief when a man has won what Frankie has how they berate him for a couple of mistakes, I would say 1 mistake Stradivarius he was boxed in all the way with nowhere to go, Saga made up ground and had a trouble free passage , so if he had gone 50 yds sooner he wins, yeah right at 45 MPH decisions are micro second. If Gosden thinks he has a replacement of Frankies calibre in Holllie doyle think again, lets see how she handles Longchamp on Emily Upjohn or Goodwood cup on Stradivarius. Remember Fallon boxed in on Bosra Sham, Piggott forcing his way through on Vacarme only to get disqualified, Cecil dumped Fallon to his sorrow.

Frankie gets stuffed on the Queens horse at 2/5 - And by a horse that never beat a single horse LTO on the 15th May this year, Jane Chapple Hyam must have found those magic carrots. Gosden & Dettori are having a shocker, Dettori looks past it now. Funny old game these horses.

Frankie costing himself on Stradavarius and that queen's horse against Claymore was nothing special hasn't even beat anything special if you look Claymore finished 2nd to Native Trail so this was an easy win for me

Bottom line with racing is,,the race couldn't be awarded to the runner up as he suffered no interference, had any of the other horses that wer interfered with managed to get 2nd then he absolutely eould have been thrown out.

Frankie watched & matched kyprios all the way around but got boxed in at the crucial moment when kyprios made its move. I think if frankie had a clearer run he’d have pushed the winner all the way

His been riding terribly lately he destroyed me with emily upjohn. A massive double i.had on him let me down. I had Mojo star without Kyprios at 13/2. That horse is a proper stayer Hannon knows he has something good. Mojo star had no prep run will win something this season for sure.

Frankie can't make a room for his horse. This oldie is getting fooled by youngsters again and again. He set stradivarius 3rd then 5th on the last bend he was dead last and struggling for a room. What a pitty the champion oldie is getting hurt by his age. If stradivarius would have been ridden by any jockey even c t keane would have won on this horse. You can see how kuch lengths he wasted on this champion horse.

@@turkeechannel1150 Agree, he was going best around the bend yet still didn't ask the horse until the straight which by that time he was trapped and lost about 3 lengths on the winner. He's had an incredible career and I think it's time to step down for old Frank.
